Hinata was bested. Kaizen launched himself into motion once more; green eyes and a brown coat, similar in build and height. A fair enough match up, all things considered. 

Still hyped up with adrenaline from his last fight, Kaizen rushed to grab at the Viking's muzzle; he had seen Hattori do this move a few times. A sharp and efficient way at disarming an opponent, to strike thirst and force them on the back paw. Except his aim wasn't nearly as accurate as he would have liked, his jaws snapped at empty air, the momentum caused him to lurch forward, shoulder hunching as he braced for impact.

Not off to the best start.

She had planned to sit this raid out. Wanting to give her fighters and other members a chance to practice, to learn, to hone their skills. But the itch beneath her skill was undeniable. And without a certain few bad apples, they were lacking in bodies. So what does Delphi do? What she does best. Her eyes watch from the background, noticing and observing as the fights break out dispersed across the slopes of the mountain. With summer still at its peak, there was no threat of slipping and sliding through snow or slush.

After a lull in the noise, Delphi notices the older woman toward the back of her grandfather's youngsters. Hm, who indeed was this? Curiosity flicks across her expression as she slinks around the outside. Intent on taking the woman by friendly surprise, Delphi dashes quickly toward her right shoulder. "One should always be on guard," she calls out teasingly in a rusty version of her grandfather's language. If the woman responded, it would tell her if this stranger was a true ancestor or just another loner seeking sanctuary in the safety of the bamboo.

Honestly, she was done with the mountain. Hadn't wanted to return to the gods damn place that made her feel so... ugly. The way it made her heart wrench and shrivel up, but she also needed to say good bye too. She couldn't leave her siblings without telling them where she was or well, wasn't going. Deciding to at least stay the night so she was better prepared for her new journey, the call of the raid surprised her. Eyes wide, emotions conflicted. Why fight for a pack she no longer cared for? Moving from her den out onto the slopes of the maw, it is the familiar sight of koi colored wolves that has her blood boiling in an instant. Why the fuck was her betrothed's Tojo-Kai here raiding them? Anger and confusion fill Lumine as she barrels down the side of the mountain. Her intent is on He Who Must Not Be Named, but is quickly deterred as she finds him tangling with her brother, Steig. A sharp snort exits her nostrils before her gaze of glittering gold turns to unleash this bubbling ugliness of fury onto. It's the pale girl of near albino appearance that she targets. Standing alone and away from the rest of the fighting. Though she hadn't gotten the girl's name before, the stark appearance is even more familiar. This was someone she had fought before. With not so much as a warning, Lumine bursts down the remaining slope toward the call of battle. Weaving in between the other fights, she calls forth her miniature reindeer to move around the backside of the girl so there was nowhere to run. Come down, come down sweet reverence

Jynn kept her defenses set, her ears pinned tight against her head and her tail tucked behind her. As she moved to initiate her attack she felt the man's paw catch one of her hind legs and she swiftly planted her front ones, her abdomen tightening as she sought to pivot her hind legs behind her so she could face the man's thigh at a perpendicular angle. This movement also brought her away from his spikes. Jynn continued her attack, her head darting forward as her fangs lashed out to lacerate the man's thigh. She sought to tear the flesh and cause damage rather than obtain a hold.

Takeji held back, ostensibly to plot his moves with precision, more realistically to gather his wits. It only did him so much good of course, because before much longer the fight brought itself to him. He had barely a moment to decipher pounding footsteps as an approach aimed at him, much less respond to the weight of another wolf throwing herself at his flank. In his surprise, he was unable to angle his body so that his spiked armor would make the most impact, the way he'd practiced, over and over. He felt that the blow would have still been worse without it, and he'd have to make due, because the time for wishful thinking was over now. He could berate himself later. Rounding on the shewolf he found his opponent to be a bit smaller, as well as grown into her body whereas he was still lanky and bound to trip over his own paws if he wasn't careful. But he was being careful, so there would be none of that today. He dug his hind claws into the earth and bunched his legs beneath him, springing forward with his head lowered, hoping to battering-ram the flat of his horns into the soft space where her neck and shoulders met. Maybe if he was lucky he'd find a chance to snap at a limb or two even if she dodged the headbutt. Luck did so often favor the prepared. Kina lingered back from the group to watch the fighting. It wasn't often she got the chance to examine the tactics of others, especially those of a different pack and there was something about being able to observe without also having to immediately respond. However, it wasn't to last. It was time now to get involved. Her egret called out and alerted her to a familiar girl charging straight for her. Kina swiftly set her defenses and raced forward to meet her opponent. As she neared Lukina dipper head, aiming to counter by lowering her horns in position to connect with the girls attacking shoulder.

Using her weight to her advantage, Unagi is able to slam into the colorful teens flanks and knock him off balance. A grin, not unkind but instead filled with excitement, splits her maw as she seeks to round on the young man but he surprises her and suddenly slams his horned head into the soft space of her neck and shoulder.

Grunting in pain, she pulls back slightly to avoid his snapping jaws, taking a few, precious seconds to align herself with the colorful male so that they might facing each other head on, if he so wished.

Muscles bunch and then uncoil as she lifts her front half off the ground, seeking to try and wrap her thick legs around the young man’s shoulders in a grapple. Carefully, Unagi attempts to avoid the spiked shoulder guards while hoping to use brute her strength to wrestle the taller male to the ground and claim victory.

Though she had intended to sit the fight out, it seemed that this wouldn't the case. Despite watching the younger wolves, Ochitsuki was on guard. She was a swordswoman. She was always on guard. So, as the small fae rushed towards her, mimicking Hattori's voice, Ochi was ready. The older wolf turned to face the approaching youngster, head lowered, ears tucked, stance set. "And one should never underestimate their elders," the black and white fae spoke in turn, the barest of smiles lifting the corners of her maw.

As the young wolf collided with her shoulder and chest, Ochi held her ground, nimble digits digging into the earth below to keep her balance. She arced her neck downwards, seeking to latch her jaws around the back of the girl's scruff. There was no intent to hurt the smaller wolf. Just an attempt to hold her still.
