Odette's paws had once again become restless. After a healthy breakfast of deer meat and fish as a side dish, she left Chrysanthe's side and set out to explore. Her story was that she wanted to see what else was around the terrains Valhalla had claimed, and she wasn't lying to her mother. The curiosity that dwelled in her chest was something she couldn't throw water over, so she let the small fire burn as she progressed with the length of distance she covered.
In no time at all, the Gargoyle replica was reaching a piece of land that seemed far away from any existing grasslands. The heat wasn't bad enough to consume her yet, so she sped up in order to not be hit by the mid-morning sun. Tan paws reached soft grass and she sighed happily as she lowered herself against it. Skin touched cool blades and she closed her eyes with relief. She wondered if anyone else would be bold enough to brave the potential summer heat that was to come in order to be out here.

Thoughts

The days were growing longer, and Hinge could feel it. The length of the suns beams were hard against his obsidian bodice. Feeling the toll of being a midnight colored brute, his foe in the summer was now the rays of the sun, causing the oversized brute to pant brutally into the day. He became accustomed to having to fend for himself before the sun made her appearance in the skies to throw him down. The morning was still young, and the tired brute lifted his heavy eye lids as his jaws pulled carefully at the rich pink hue of the salmon beneath him. Skin and flesh pulling slowly with his jaws as his dial arched and his nose wrinkled as he fed silently.

The fair grasses beneath him were still cool with the dampness of the morning, having yet felt the morning sun beam down upon him, at least his underline was safe for now. Silver optics faded as the brute continued his meal in silence, the gentle winds quietly whispering over the oasis, his scent lifting with it from where he lied.
