Sorry for crappiness

The fea's ebony paws padded towards the vast sea. Spring's fresh grass cushioned her feet until it made way to the warm sand. The sun beat down on her sable furred back but held no warmth in it's rays. Instead, the harsh, salty breeze brought a welcome chill to the woman.
Kaala sat on a mossy rock a few paces into the sea and stared at the lapping water below. It was relaxing. In. Out. In. Out. In. Out. Fish darted underneath the surface. Their silvery sheen caught by the sun. Almost without effort, a paw darted out from Kaala's side and hooked the fish in her claws. The stunned fish lay linp in her paws and in one swift moment it was dead, having had it's head bashed against a rock.
Kaala took a bite of the rich flesh and had soon downed it all. She tipped the remains into the sea for it's spirit to be reborn. Blue eyes looked out to the horizon, at peace.

Raisa watched the fae fish with a certain measure of fascination. She didn't know how, and she didn't like not knowing. Still, it was below a Queen's dignity to ask help, so she tried to learn all that she could from observation. The woman seemed so at peace with herself and her surroundings that Raisa seemed almost.. jealous. Koros, from his place beside her, watched his master with interest. There was a yearning in her eyes he rarely saw, and he found himself looking between Raisa and the fae beside the water's edge, back anf forth again. When the charcoal wolf stepped forward, the piebald fox could not find it in him to be surprised. Raisa made her way towards the dark, peaceful woman, and cleared her throat as she approached. The gesture was polite, and not typical of her. "Are these waters good for fishing, then?" Her question held a bit of an edge, but it was practically reflex. Being kind and polite was not something that had come naturally before, but more than once Raisa had caught herself wondering if this land was softening her. It was a terrifying prospect, and not one she was willing to accept. But yet, it would feel nigh sacrilegious to disrupt the fae's peaceful day, wouldn't it?

Kaala's ears perked at the voice of a woman behind her. Her hair prickled at the sudden presence but lowered quickly. She turned on her rock to face the woman. She smiled and nodded her ebontly head to the woman and then to her airgead companion. Are these waters good for fishing, then? The woman seemed curious. Kaala nodded. "Yes, Fairly. If you know when to strike." Had the woman not been here before? Kaala's head whipped own as she sighted movement. A paw whipped out and threw a fish from the water, only to escape her grasp mid-air and land next to the woman. Kaala chuckled, her light tones barely audible. "I tend not to know." She noted to the fish, inviting the woman to have it.

The woman's deft skill had Raisa's eyed widening. The last time she had walked up on someone fishing, she had started a brawl. This fae, however, seem much kinder. Raisa smiled and stared down at the fat, wriggling creature. She placed a paw on it to keep it from flopping away. Raisa smiled at the woman and then looked to the small, piebald fox beside her, saying "Well Koros, we wouldn't want to scorn this kind lady's gift, but I ate just yesterday. Why don't you take this?" The fox was startled by his master's good humor, and blinked. He turned to the dark fisherwoman and smiled. "Thank you, my lady." Raisa settled down, calmed by the woman's presence. She seemed to exude an aura of control and grace that Raisa herself had never been able to master. "Despite a liking for fish, I've never had the patience to catch them, more woe to me." She shrugged and stared into the water, reflecting on the fact that this woman was likely quite different from she.

Kaala smiles at the woman, nodding at her companion, Korros, as he was offered the fish. The water surged as a shoal of fish darted by, gone within the blink of an eye. Despite a liking for fish, I've never had the patience to catch them, more woe to me. Kaala chuckled. "Well, when you've had to feed yourself from 10 months you learn." Kaala paused for a moment before adding. "If you would like, I'll teach you. It's not too hard. You just need a quick eye and an even quicker paw." Kaala smiled. The woman seemed nice eneough, what was the harm n teaching her. Why deprive someone of skill if you could teach them yourself. In Kaala's opinion, fish were the best food out there. All of the rich, fatty goodness could do wonderful things.

The woman's comment niggled at the ebon Queen's curiosity but she did not wish to pry, especially when a lesson was offered. Perhaps she would not mind offending the stranger after her goal had been accomplished, but for now manners would be required. So instead of pressing for an explanation, Raisa smiled and nodded. "I'd be glad of the lesson, thank you." Raisa waded out into the water, a ways downstream from the woman, thinking that the woman, having a keener eye for fish than she, might be able to lend some clue as to where they were. The tall woman stared into the current, marveling at the smooth pebbles beneath them and the way the sunlight played within the water. The queen looked up and smiled. "I'm Raisa, by the way." For some reason, she did not feel the need to introduce herself fully. They were fishing, for crying out loud! Raisa Xanilove, Queen of the Ebony Throne didn't fish, she had subjects to fish for her... But, perhaps, this afternoon regular Raisa could.
