Ivy dusts the forest floor here, climbing tentatively up and around the gargantuan trunks of thousand year old oak trees. Their sweeping vastness is rivaled only by the famous redwood groves. Many trees bear the scars of lightning strikes yet, and those which have fallen are as impressive as those which still stand, several having hollowed out to form structures all their own.
