An earthquake struck this rolling plain long ago, and as consequence the sides of several hills and ridges crumbled away into scree piles in their valley basins. No one could have expected the mysteries it would expose. Buried in the black soil and rock are large, ancient bones of all sorts. Skulls, femurs, fangs, vertebrae. A curious wolf might spend hours studying and excavating this area.
