Under the glacier upon which the ship rests an ice cave has formed, close to the shoreline where the ice is more stable. Translucent walls refract the sun's rays in all directions. Despite its appearance the cave is not without its dangers, the glacier is a threat unto itself and temperatures inside the cave can drop dangerously low. The sun's light may pierce through the ice, but its heat does not.
