Soft paws pressed into the ground, leaving a smooth trail of imprints behind the large male. The northern expanses of these lands were foreboding, but shielded from the elements by a thick coat, Angeal barely felt the cold that held this land in an icy grip. The trees that reached for the sky above him easily towered over the large male, but he was unconcerned by the large height difference. It was easy to get lost in a place like this, but Angeal had faith in his abilities to return to his starting point, if he chose to. Not that there was any rush. With no pack or home to return to, Angeal's life had no rush to it. He could go where he wanted when he wanted, and he didn't really mind that. It was freeing.

Still, when the forest seemed to still around Angeal, the black male came to a stop, head tilting slightly to the side as his ears began to swivel wildly about as he tried to pick up any sounds in the area. There was something else out there, something that had startled the birds into falling silent, but clearly not that much of a threat, Angeal figured. And besides, he was a little bored and lonely, too, if he admitted it. Besides, there was no point in sneaking around. These woods were too sparse for any wolf to pass unnoticed for long.

With that in mind, Angeal sank back on his haunches and howled, letting a long, low song escape his maw, a summons to all who were near. The ball was in the other's court now, and Angeal figured he could intimidate any who came looking for blood away. With that in mind, the bulky black wolf sank back on his haunches, tail curling daintily around large paws as he listened, head cocked slightly to the side. Would any answer his call? He almost doubted it. Surely they would avoid this monster of a wolf. But he was curious, honestly. Curious about who else was out there.
