Summer Showers

He felt like he was drowning. The very air that he inhaled was hot and humid, thick enough to feel like he was trying to breath underwater. These lands were unbearable, storm clouds made the sky above him heavy and dark, the electricity that clacked above him made the fur on his neck stand on end. One would think that it should be raining, but with it being the middle of summer there were days where the sky would stay dark and no rain would grace the ground below it. Illarion was slowly becoming irate, rippling muscle beneath dark fur twitched with agitation, and his red eyes were narrowed into slits.
Yet it wasn't just the weather that ailed him.
His family was in the process of piecing itself back together. They had come here, following the advice and leadership of his uncle. Yet now he was no where to be found, missing, gone, vanished like the wind that swept so briskly through the grasses below him. They rippled like waves, and his uncle's disappearance seemed to have a similar effect. Everyone was spread, knocked down, and stick in a state of anxiousness while they waited for someone to step up. The prized bitch would not be able to handle anything on her own, no matter how respected and revered she was among the wolves that made up the Bellators and Margox. Surely one of Abbadon's sons would do the job, and he would hear the call of his family in the near future.
For now, he simply waited.
A shuddered sigh escaped his lips, and his legs carried him toward the large stone structures that sat near the middle of the field. They were worn down, weathered to the point of it being impossible to know what it once was. He growled as lightning clacked above him, lighting up the sky without touching the ground. Yet his growl was cut short as the first raindrop hit his nose.
A bit of relief to the sweltering heat. He would close his eyes and let it drench him completely - because soon after the water was done falling, the heat would dry it up and leave him awaiting the next time it decided to rain.

Allaire wanted to play. She had just joined a pack, and frankly she wanted to explore the surrounding areas. Yes she had traveled through this very area to get to said pack, but she was on the move, wanting to fully explore the regain. Couple that with her growing boredom it was a potent wanderlust. She trotted evenly on her small legs up the rocks. She would jump every now and then as lightning cracked up into the sky. She was not used to the sky display, or even the mass of clouds that joined it. She grew up in the desert, where even a single wisp of a cloud was a rare sight, and don't even thing about rain... She to this day remember the first time it rained, she was two month old, not even allowed out of the den yet, but as my mother shouted gleefully Allaire slipped her small body out from the ground to look into the sky. It was like magic, water, something that they hardly ever saw, just falling... FROM THE SKY! She had not seen the magic of the moment again until she had left the home sands, and started her adventure, now it seems the sky is full of more magic then just water falling from the sky. Electric waves ruled the sky at this moment, and the crack of the sound it made, the earth. She was in wonder the the whole event, and she did not know when she would cease to be.
As the light moved above her head she looked ahead of her, her paws moving quickly, it was only a few minuets from then that Allaire saw him. He was like a black shadow that had himself perched upon a rock, looking at the landscape about him, he was just staring from all she could tell, he seemed to be lost within his own mind. Allaire did not feel fear, for she could not think bad about anyone, even the cat that had chased her weeks ago, for it was just doing what it must to live, as must every creature. No she did not fear him, for he would not do anything to harm her.... Right?
She moved closer to him, a big innocent smile plastered on her face. As she drew closer she began to realize just how big the male was, which frankly was not new to her now. Allaire had soon to realize that she was just small, and that most wolves could tower over her. But she did not let that faze her, she was small yes... But she could be scrappy if she needed to. As Allaire got within hearing distance she called out. "Hello! What are you doing out here!?" As she stopped mere meters from him she looked into his face, a smile still plastered on her face. "Oh, by the way, ima Allaire!"
