She had mustered the courage to wonder away from the willows she had been born under. Had found the courage to go off alone without her brother Loach or anyone in her family. And yet she still felt weak, alone. She had always been this way, slightly distant from everyone besides Loach. But even she knew she couldn't cling to her brother forever. So she left to let her dainty paws lead her on some invisible path. Her tiny form moved silently through the west, light blue orbs with flicks of green took in everything. The world was so much bigger than she could have ever imagined. And the farther she moved away from home the more she grew in wonderment and slight overwhelming fear. Fear of the unknown, the large mass of the world. She wished she was taller to see more of what was around her.

The green sea opened up before her, the breeze teasing the grass, beckoning her to it. And she would oblige and trot into the tall grass, still lush from the summer. She would have thought all the grass would be brown everywhere with winter coming. She hummed softly to herself, no song she knew of but just some made up tune. She felt so small, smaller than normal in the vast green sea. Everything was silent in the dawn air. As if not a creature wished to break this peaceful morning but simply sit there and enjoy the silence and the rising sun.

The ebony male listened Intently on the surrounding area he had happened to come across. A long, dark scar surrounded his right side as pain shot through him every time he ran. The young brute loved to run; it was in his nature. He had fun to run and just be one with the other animals that roamed the lands, but this lush, emerald grassland caused him to smile and just be happy with himself. He looked around as the smell of another wolf entered his nostrils, a pup that seemed to be a couple months younger than he was. He could make out the white and grey around her back as well as ears and soon was sitting beside her before he even had a chance to blink.

His heterochromatic optics of emerald and topaz met her own and he soon turned his head away in a shy manner. He couldn't help but think that she was pretty.
