Slowly, she would pace herself to a frozen solid lake, pulling herself onto the slippery surface and laying across of it. Sage trotted through the snow, deep pawprints left in the snow. Winter had finally come to the lands! The healer smiled to himself. He'd been dreading the winter, thinking he wouldn't be prepared for the foliage free months. The man had been diligent in his travels and managed to fully stock in time! He would slow his pace as he came to a great lake. It was completely frozen over, the evening sun making it glistening and sparkle. This was the man's third winter and he'd be three next summer, yet the wonder of winter still awed him. This awe was completely obliterated when he saw a pure white wolf lying on the edge of the lake. Without hesitating, Sage sprinted towards the form. The gentle rising of her chest told him from a distance he was alive. The femme's fur wasn't near as long as his own, hinting that she probably didn't live in the north. The man was of obsidian and an alabaster as her own fur and the snowy white tundra around them. The words he spoke flew almost over her, the girl understanding a bit of what he had said. "Me.. Me name es Rue," she would say in a clutter of mixed languages, her tone soft as it fell off to a whisper. The boy had surprisingly moved his large, dark self to her side, sharing his warmth with her. A small smile would appear on the pale woman's lips, sapphire blue topaz audits gazing into his green and orange orbs. "Gracias," she would say in a soft whisper, slowly beginning to regain body heat and energy as he helped the girl to the shelter that the trees provided.
