I crashed my car into a bridge

She got both feet on the ground
And she's burning it down
Cascade was once more on the prowl in Imperium lands, unmatching paws keeping a perky tempo as she trit-trotted along, still occasionally seeing the buffalo that gave the land its name though with winter coming on the herds were for the most part shifting to warmer areas and were a bit harder to find. Her dark tail swished behind her with each step, the girl moving as always with a spring in her step and a wag in her tail. She was surprised to find that she was actually enjoying being in a pack. Maybe it was just this particular pack - none of the wolves she'd met except maybe Mercy could really fit the term "normal" though then again who really did? But they'd managed to catch her attention with their various quirks and oddities and so she'd set out to track more of them down in an effort to see if the pattern held. Mismatched eyes swept the terrain around her with the same faintly amused sparkle they generally did, a trademark half-smile curving her mouth. Who was next?

"Go and Wander." Said my heart.
...and so I would wander.
Ellis had feelings good and bad about coming here. She didn't regret it, no, but she regretted having left Othello and the children that day to gather herbs. For her accident. For her lost memory. Parts were still so foggy, trying to piece together her past. So many fragments, like parts of a beautiful crystal that just wouldn't look right until she had them all again. But she knew, no, she knew that she had hurt the other woman so. She had hurt Othello. She hurt innocent children. Accident or not... it was her fault that they fell apart.
The healer set down the catchweed she had collected. Useful herb, but a bit awkward to carry with how fuzzy it was. Still, if someone got hurt and she needed to make a poultice it would be needed to make sure that it wasn't rubbed off. The woman let out a soft sigh, sitting by the den she had chosen for her own and her main herb storage. She felt like she had lost part of herself, unsure of where to go and where to turn. Imperium was home now but... there were still some broken things she needed to fix.
"Wind, Guide Me." Ellis would say softly to herself, a sort of prayer among her former pack. Even that part of her past was patchy... but she still remembered some of the things she learned there. Had kept with her throughout her life.

"Settle down." Said my heart.
...and so here it was I would settle down.

The brown-tinted form of another, smaller wolf caught her attention and Cascade peered curiously at her. Well hello there, who was this? Oh wait, that's right, this woman had shown up in Valen's little meeting wanting to join. A healer, maybe? That was kind of exciting, right? Well, there were considerably more exciting things than healing but it could be used for sooooo many.... intriguing applications. What kind of a healer was this one? The goody-goody oath-taking kind or the fascinating, never-sure-if-they-will-cure-you-or-kill-you kind? A bit of a thrill not knowing, but Cascade's curiosity was as bad as a cat's and she couldn't not learn more.
Sauntering up with a grin and not an ounce of shame for interrupting her prayer or whatever, Cascade piped up with a torrent of words. "Hi there! Cascade Saxe, you are? Healer right? Saw you at the meeting! You settling in all right? Doing all your... healer stuff? Nice plant, looks real cuddly. What's it for?"
