For a long while he had thought of coming here, of speaking to his family. He missed them dearly, and even though he pushed himself away from them he craved them here more than ever. He had hardly seen his new siblings, and he doubted that he would be allowed. But his mother... He had spoken to Helios a few times, but the last words that Nat had spoken to him had been harsh. He missed her sweet voice, her understanding and motherly tone. As he grew older he found himself crawling back home, while others fled. He knew that he was not allowed around here, that the name Olympus no longer held a weight for him. But that didn't mean that he didn't want to set things straight with his family. He needed to speak with the blink woman, to catch up and see what she thought of him. Did she really hate him? Would meeting her here even be a good idea?

There was little time to think of that, if the dark lady was near she had most likely picked up his scent already. Tipping back his head he let out a call for Nat and Nat alone, it was time that he saw her without anyone else to distract either of them. Lowering his massive skull the albino beast waited, taking in a deep breath. His muscles tensed beneath his coat, ready for an attack if their came one.

Natalya was performing her rounds of the borders when she heard him, when she smelled him, when she knew he was nearby.  It had been so long.  They had exiled and disowned him when they had still ruled Olympus, before the challenge, before her infection, before the move.  Natalya had hardened, if it was even possible for her to do so.  She had been called a monster for what she had done in disposing of Hypnos, and had been accused of wishing monstrosities upon others that she surely did not.  Her own son had chosen evil over her, and it had felt like he had died right along with his brother.  But he wasn't dead.  He was here, summoning her to him, and because she was a mother she could not turn away.

Slowly at first, she approached him.  She couldn't make up her mind about how she would react to his presence until a moment just before she acted.  He would see her walking toward him with cautious steps, then beginning to circle him.  It may have looked to him like she was simply trying to determine whether he was really there, but it wasn't the case.  Natalya was still making up her mind and in that time before she jumped, she was figuring out where and how exactly he stood.  Her attack came quickly.  She leapt at him from the side, grabbing him by the scruff of his neck and yanking him to the ground.  She stood over him with her teeth barred and her jaws slightly parted at his throat, saliva dripping onto his albino form.

A wicked snarl erupted from her throat before she shouted at him.  "How dare you?!"  Excessive venom laced her words, but only to cover up what was really happening.  Natalya wanted nothing more than to break down and cry.  She was trying to keep her family safe and strong and together, trying to lead through her illness, trying to be happy and confident for her youngest children.  But two huge parts of her life were missing, two holes in her heart that could never be filled again.  Nothing pained her more than knowing that one of her sons had voluntarily drilled his hole there.

"How dare you come here and ask for me after all you have done?  Do you know what you have made me suffer?  Can you even begin to understand?  You selfish child!"

He saw her form approach with caution, slow movements as she circled him. He knew what she was doing, 'seeing' just where he was with her nose and ears. He let out a soft whine to further her knowledge, hoping that they would be able to have a civil conversation. Until she attacked. Well there goes that theory out the window. He was blindsided as his mother jumped onto his larger form. His muscles had been tensed, but it was not enough to offset her leap. He bowled to the ground, ears pulling back and chin tucking to his chest to protect his throat, the very thing her jaws rested by. Her angry words struck him like blows, the man shrinking back from her. There was not just anger though, there was no than that. He couldn't quite put his paw on it but there was a deeper emotion that he sensed.

Her words cut deep, but they were true. He was more shocked that she stated that it was she that had suffered. His mother had always been a harder set woman, so to hear that she had felt hurt by all of this came as a surprise to him. They had made him choose though, to be apart from the one he loved or to chose his family. It was his decision that had parted them, nothing that had to to with them. They were simply following customs, doing what was laid out before them. He knew that, but it didn't make it hurt any less. He took a ragged breath, salmon eyes slipping closed. "I love her mother, it was hard to choose one or the other. I love you all, and my choice was my fall. I simply came to seek redemption, to see if I could be an exemption." Apollo knew that his words were bold, and that they would most likely fall upon deaf ears. To be welcomed back in would be against everything that they believed in.

"I know that I was a fool in your eyes, that I cannot disguise. But if the option had been yours, on who would you close the doors? It..." He cut off, his voice thick with emotion. She had to know that the choice he made had not been out of spite, or been easy for him at all. It was something that he had to live with for the rest of his life. Blowing out a sigh, the albino man opened his eyes and gazed into his mothers blinded ones, searching her angered face. "I miss you," he whispered, head falling against the earth. If she was going to kill him, or hurt him, he wouldn't stop her.

He shrunk from her, something like a coward below her paws. But that was exactly what he should be. She was his mother, she was a queen, and if he had fought back... It would have angered her, she thought. Though she would've felt pride in his strength, she would've felt rage at his disobedience. Now, she was disappointed to see him act so weak but she was thankful that he did. No mother wanted to carry out the consequences she would've been bound to.

The words he finally responded with were thick with emotion. He plead for forgiveness, for welcome, for understanding. Natalya closed her teeth but they remained slightly barred and the growl in her throat cut off as she listened to him. She would not let her features soften as she wanted them to. She would not let him see weakness from her. How could she begin to forgive him? After everything the bitch he claimed to love had done... Natalya wasn't sure she was capable. But she did miss her son, more than he would ever realize and now more than ever before.

She couldn't yet tell him what plagued her, couldn't give him the information that she had shared with no one but her trusted raven, not even her dear Helios. Even so, she wanted to drop the weight of it on him and watch him squirm, to hear his reaction to the true consequences of his actions. It probably wasn't fair to blame him, but how could she not? Instead of letting her urges get the better of her, she dropped her voice into an almost whisper, anger still strong behind it. "Would you abandon her now? If you love her so much that you could not choose between us, would you abandon her for our affection now?" She pointedly ignored his other sentiments. She wasn't sure she would be able to respond to the rest without breaking down.
