While Vitus was a little sore from his loss, both physically and emotionally, he decided he wouldn't allow himself to sulk. If there was anything he knew, it was that his siblings needed him. Well, he believed. The young boy also believed he was born solely to protect them, that it was his destiny to lay his life before them and become their soldier. To keep them safe, secure, and stable. He would lay everything at their paws, and it was the reason he kept his silence this long, kept himself from play, from the emotions he couldn't yet name. So he dragged himself from the den, his eyesight still slightly blurry on his left, his shoulder still aching and the pulling of wounds still healing along his shoulders and face. But he felt better, felt less depressed than he had. The child had lost, and he vowed he would never lose again.

With a deep breath he moved through the soft underbrush of the sparse pines, feeling the rough feeling of the undergrowth at his paws as he shifted through the thin layers of snow at the bases of trees. It was here that he would wait, hoping that he would catch sight of his siblings. Maybe they would play in a game that Vitus so rarely allowed himself to partake in. Maybe they could bond and play and spend a day away from the emotion of the den, away from Vitus' sadness and regret, away from all the things he didn't want to think about right now. Maybe they could try their hand at hunting, or get into havoc that boys their age seemed to always get themselves into. He settled in at the base of a larger tree, a small smile upon his face as he relaxed in the cool embrace of snow.

There wasn't a whole lot to keep the slate-blue boy entertained these days. Momma was always either gone or wandering around all sad and Momma Amalia was either bouncing around being all super excited or off healing someone. He sighed as he padded through the trees, hoping that maybe, just maybe, he'd find something to do. He pulled his legs up high with each step, looking down at the holes he left in the snow with each over-sized silver paw.

His dark ears flicked with recognition when he suddenly caught Vitus's scent and he lifted his mismatched eyes from the snow to see his brother resting under one of the many pine trees. Well, Vit wasn't exactly the most exciting play partner, but he sure was better than no one! Tib grinned and wagged his tail as he hopped over toward his brother, plopping down onto his haunches in front of him. "Hey, Vitus! What are you doing all by yourself?"

Blah.

Life was boring!

The little prince bounded endlessly through the cold snow, short and stubby legs lost in the flakey goodness.  It was like walking through a winter wonderland.  Well, okay, it was a winter wonderland.  In all of this land, the boy wondered where his siblings had wandered off to.  His big brother Tibby was likely off being bored like Aeschylus was.  Vit was probably being sad somewhere...  Bacchus was just gone.  The ex-queen's babies were everywhere right now.  Then there was this gathering.

As soon as the scent of his brothers wafted into his nostrils, the boy bounced in place.  Snow was scattered sporadically about him, until he stood in an empty pit of just dirt.  With some swift leaps, the pup disappeared beneath the snow, digging a tunnel toward his brothers.  Too bad it was pretty obvious from the fact that it collapsed behind him and that he had to throw his head up obnoxiously to breath.  Once he had reached point B, the 'snow-shark' squealed and threw his head up.  "Rawr!  I'm the mighty Snow-Shark!"  With a flash of little white teeth, the boy scattered some more snow, playfully bouncing about.  What games would they play today?

Bacchus would find his way back to Regium after becoming a tad bit lost, thankfully he'd found his stale scent trail and followed it home. He'd actually been almost scared for a moment, but being the ever confident one the tall boy found no worry. Though he was a bit hungry and a lot a bit dirty he was safe and home. An eager grin would play across his features as he was deterred from his path by the voices of his brothers. He'd first intended upon seeing his mothers and father, but Aes, Tib, and Vit were much too important to pass up.

Aes had already leaped from the snow when Bac made his entrance, his paws pounded in the snow as he barreled towards his litter mates. The white precipitation would fly everywhere as he came skidding to a halt, his grin wide and goofy as his elegant tail wagged behind him. He'd missed his siblings during the days he'd been gone. "Long time no see, 'snow-shark" He would chuckle as he aimed to bump his brother affectionately in the shoulder. A greeting of sorts to the other boy.
