He'd make his way away from home again, intending to return much sooner than last time. He was much too uncomfortable and got too hungry during his last excursion to enjoy his freedom. He couldn't really even hunt for himself yet so being away from his pack and family was rather difficult. So, he made sure to memorize the path home, and would start back not long after the sun had reached it's zenith. His large paws would carry him easily over the snow laden lands, his bright red eyes watching everything as he passed by. The Northern lands were still very much unexplored to him, but even more curious were the warmer southern terra's.

He was built for the snow, born and bred within the frozen precipitation he had not a single problem with colder weather, and likely would have trouble with the warmer weather as time went on. Now though he would just have trouble picking through the old battlefield and trying not to cut his paws on the sharp scraps of metal that were hidden beneath the snow. He would occasionally sniff curiously at the debris, but he would be more focused on his way home. His steps were high, his tail would wave elegantly behind him as he walked gracefully over the war zone.

She had heard rumors of this area, the metal glinting in the sunlight. The tall dame wandered aimlessly across the fallen objects, hips swaying as she weaved around a large, rusty object. She sniffed at it, its metallic scent smelling a lot like blood. Her purple gaze roamed upwards, taking in the strange looking thing. What in the world had this been used for? Mercy circled around it, dainty paws waring a path around it. She had no idea that there was another wolf coming towards her, she was much to interested in the things around her. Muscles rolled beneath her pale coat as she moved on, elongated tail waving behind her like a banner. She was a beautiful young girl, there was no doubt. A bit plain, taken, the only colour other than white were the black markings on her face. Maybe it was her longer tail that was her main feature, or perhaps that she was well built. Mercy had all the curves and features of a woman, but the body of a growing warrior.

The girl paused as she made her way to a large sword sticking out of the earth, jagged metal sparking before her. Raising a single paw she stretched forward, laying the pad of her paw against the cold steel. Head tilted to the side, eyes wide as she leaned closer. It was too rusted to see herself within it, but it wasn't that that she was interested in. She could tell that it had been sharp, like some strange claw ripping from the landscape. Time had made it dull though, the sheen that it once had lost to time. Was this something that came from another animal? It was cold, and smelled strange. It didn't look like a bone... but then what put it here?

His own ruby gaze had not yet caught sight of any artifact worth surveying and as he walked he'd find that the discarded items were not what had his focus. He was growing so quickly, Bacchus had yet to reach his full height but he was still incredibly tall for a six month old pup. Large paws would bring him closer as she was already on the path he was taking, with curiosity he would tilt his head, finally seeing what she found herself admiring. He wouldn't get too close, she was about a year older than him and also looked much more fit. He'd barely started training and would not have a hope in the world of defeating her. However he was still confident beyond his abilities as would draw more near. "What is that?" He would ask curiously, miss marked tail swinging lazily behind him.

The soft voice pulled out of her thoughts, head slowly turning to look over her shoulder. Her paw dropped to the ground, long tail sashaying behind her. The boy was younger than her, but stood almost at her shoulder. Mmm, he would be taller than her it seemed. He was quite good-looking as well, but too young to think of that way. Very stunning though, she had to admit. Purple eyes narrowed slightly in thought, turning to face him in a more head on position. "A tooth or claw of some sort. I think. It really is unlike anything I have seen before... all of this is," she said in wonderment, eyes leaving his form to scan around them. It was a very interesting place, she wasn't sure why she hadn't wandered this way before. It was a little far away from home, but by this boy's scent he was as well. "I'm Mercy, by the way," she added softly, turning and walking a few paces away. There was another piece sticking out of the earth, but it was wider than the last she had been admiring. "What could this have come from?" she whispered, not really asking this boy. It was more of a statement of wonder, she really couldn't place anything to having teeth or claws that were anything like this.

He'd catch her attention from the giant tooth, her bright violet stare coming to rest on his features as she turned slightly. He'd find himself admiring her rather long tail, though th efur on his own was longer than most her whole tail seem to be elongated. She would turn towards him a bit more before he was allowed to hear her elegant lyrics. She had never seen something like it before, and her wonder would be much more obvious than his own. He was a rather curious young wolf, but all of the litter over the field seemed like junk. What did he know though, maybe somewhere under this mess he could find a pretty item and bring it back to momma Ama. He'd be distracted at the thought by the girl's name, he would nod respectfully allowing her his own. "I'm Bacchus," he'd offer as she walked away, his head tilting curiously as she moved to the next odd object. She would whisper her own curious sentiments as he followed her, coming a bit closer. He'd sniff at the material, it was reminiscent of his mother's arm bands. "It smells like metal." He'd offer, having been curious about Amalia's decorations for a long time now. "Maybe... hoomins?" He wasn't entirely sure he remembered how to pronounce the word, but he'd heard a little of the extinct species that had so shaped their world. Usually when something was weird they got blamed.

They had both been caught in a bit of a looking game, but it didn't last that long as she turned to inspect another object. The pup had introduced himself as Bacchus, a strange name if she had ever heard one. Absentmindedly she wondered what it meant, but just shrugged her shoulders. Some thought that her name was strange as well, considering that she was a fighter and didn't often show mercy in her battles. A bit of irony she supposed, after all her brothers name was Revenge and he was a healer. It amused her that their parents mixed that up, but she liked her name. She was pulled away from her inner thoughts when the boy said that it was something called metal, and that it was from... wait, humans? She giggled at how he pronounced it. She had heard very little about humans, but knew that they existed long ago. "Humans, Bacchus," she said softly, still admiring the metal object. She hadn't really seen anything metal, no one he knew had any jewelry. "So," she said, once again turning to face the boy, "what brings you here?" she asked. He was obviously not from around here, his scent was nothing that she knew. And its not like this was a common destination.

He didn't think his name was weird, it fit in quite well with his brother's names, and he quite like how it sounded on his tongue. Though it had taken him quite a few tries to learn to pronounce it properly, obviously still having a bit of trouble with that aspect of speech as he butchered the name of the creatures that had left their crap on this field. Mismatched ears would fall to his head as she giggled at his words, not that he felt too embarrassed as she corrected him, but still it didn't feel very good failing in front of such a pretty girl. She was merciful, a silent throw back to her name? And would change the subject as she grew more curious of him. What had brought him to this dump? He liked that she would focus on him as she asked her question, her attention would cause him to hold his head up a little higher. "I'm on my way home," he'd start, having come off course to investigate her, and the object that had caught her attention. "I live in the north, in Regium." He'd tell her easily, feeling no danger in revealing who he was.

She couldn't help but smirk as she watched the boy stand a bit taller, seeming to like the attention that he got from her. Mmm, he was a very good looking man, but too young to practice her advances on. She gave him a slight up and down, taking in that pretty coat of his. Oh what she would do to have a more stunning coat. Long tail flickered behind her, those purple eyes sparkling as he told her what he was up to. She hadn't heard of many other packs, but nodded her head like she understood. Up North, eh? Must be cold up there... While her coat was still thick as the season started to change, she didn't think that she could deal with much more cold than she already had. "Did you come here looking for something?" she asked softly, head tilting as her gaze roamed around them. She was quite fascinated by it all, and wondered if there was anything around here that she would be able to wear. The metal was very eye catching, she admired how it glittered in the sunlight. Perhaps there would be something that she could slip around her neck, or even around her legs. She could just imagine in, her stalking into battle with the metal gleaming from her coat. Yes, she would be quite intimidating.

He would miss her eyes roam over his odd coat, everyone usually took some kind of double take after meeting him. He wasn't much different from his brothers, they all shared a rather similar coat colors and markings. He was the odd one though, with the giant ripped off pieces of color that ran down his face and side. Apparently it had come from his grandfather, not that he was willing to thank the man. She would go on to ask another question, had he been looking for something? He was not in search of anything physical that was sure, unless you were to count his missing father. Maybe that's was why he took to wandering so much, he was internally searching for a father that had abandoned him. "Home gets too boring," would be the easy answer, "sometimes I just like to get out and go somewhere." a shrug would follow his statement like being here was really on no coincidence. "But today I traveled as far away from home as I ever have." An addition he found himself proud of.
