After his time with Talvi he had taken to walking the borders when he was not crossing them, though the forest was still his favored of locations within the pack he often sought the lands beyond. Heavy paws would carry him easily over the dirty snow that made the well worn path, many of the wolves within took to traipsing over the borders to keep them nice and fresh. He found it was much better than sitting in the snow being lost to his thoughts.

He was focused, concentrated quite heavily on his personally assigned task. He didn't readily seek out the help he needed, maybe it was his pride getting in the way but he hadn't actively sought out company to bounce his thoughts off of. Maybe any one of his brothers was feeling the same way. Aes himself had mentioned how lost he was when it came to being even a wolf. Maybe that's what had planted the seed of doubt.

Shaking his head to clear his thoughts once more he'd abandon his travels and veer off from the well beaten path. Huffing he would fall into a rather large snow drift, feeling the need to cool off. Not caring that there might be someone out there to see his odd behavior.

Tiburtius trotted back across the border that encircled the Regium, humming quietly to himself. His tail waved gently behind him and his large paws moved him easily across the snowy landscape. He had finally grown used to his long legs and massive size, even though he still had not quite finished growing just yet. He had gotten into the habit of going out early in the morning and exploring most of the day then coming back in the afternoon before he was missed for too long. It gave him something to do and let him stretch his legs. Slowly he was beginning to learn all of the territories of the North, although it was a long process. Having to come back home at night was slowing his progress, but he knew his Mommas would freak if he didn't, at least until he got older.

As he padded through the huge trees of his home he sighed quietly to himself. Exploring and knowing where places were really wasn't all that helpful in the scheme of things. He should be learning to hunt and fight and making himself useful... but he just couldn't find the motivation. He knew his moms loved him, but Dad's disappearance had shook him more than he liked to let on. He tried to spend more time with his brothers, but even with them it felt like a struggle to not slip into these darker, more angry moods. The only thing that had seemed to help was getting out and seeing new sights so that's what he did.

He caught a whiff of Bacchus' familiar scent and he took a slight detour towards it. He didn't like to be alone when he was in the pack lands. His thoughts went crazy when he was alone and facing his emotions wasn't something he felt like doing. At least not alone. He stopped when he finally spotted Bac's splattered form half buried in the snow. One silver-marked eye brow rose curiously and his head tipped to the side questioningly. "What are you doing, Bac?"

The pair of brothers were in a bit of the same situation, both quite disturbed by the loss of their father and yet neither would really seek out help to conquer the emotions that swam in their heads. He wouldn't actively seek out anyone really, Bacchus found himself quite satisfied with seclusion. Even if company was really what he needed right now. Both boys needed to be together, to share their grievances with their father. Bonding would do him well, even if he didn't realize it.

Bac would continue to lay in the snow with out enthusiasm, another sigh flitering through his lips before Tib's presence would be noticed. White marred features would swivel towards his litter mate as he watched him draw more near. Mismatched ears would perk in interest at the words that were offered, though he wouldn't have much of an answer. sulking "Nothing.." He'd say, very much telling the truth. He just had an urge to fall into the snow drift. "I haven't been doing anything." He needed a job, he needed to start training. Bacchus needed a mentor. He'd look away from his brother for a moment, obviously disturbed by something or another but unwilling to start the conversation with Tiburtius.

Tiburtius settled onto his haunches, his dual-toned gaze resting easily on his brother. His only real reaction to Bacchus's reply was a small, understanding nod. He had been doing a whole lot of nothing too. Well, he had been doing something he supposed, but nothing that really meant anything to anyone. A quiet sigh passed his lips and he looked down at his large silver paws while he pushed a small pile of snow back and forth mindlessly between them. He wished life was more simple. If only there was some kind of instructions for what they were supposed to be doing or what he was supposed to enjoy.

He shrugged and looked back up at his brother. "Maybe we could hunt for something. You know, to take back to our Mommas." It hadn't occurred to him yet that it was strange to say 'Mommas'. He didn't quite understand yet that it was unusual to have two mothers. However he did know that not having their father around was strange and difficult on everyone. He could see it in everyone's faces and actions. He wanted to help and he wanted everything to be normal again, but he didn't know how to do that. Maybe he could give them both a distraction and surprise their Moms with a gift at the same time.

His similarly sized litter mate seemed to know what he was talking about, features tipping forth in a nod. Bacchus would rearrange himself, becoming much more suited for company as he sat up and faced his brother. Who would almost surprisingly offer up a rather interesting suggestion. Bacchus hadn't been on a hunt yet, by sheer dumb luck he'd caught a rabbit but he hadn't even know how to kill it in the end! He wasn't so sure he was ready to go out and show off those novice skills to his brother. Uncertainty playing on his features he'd avert his gaze, he also really wanted to bring home a gift to mother and Amalia. Looking back to Tib the white marked boy would finally say, "I guess we could try." He'd offer up, obviously having little faith in such an endeavor. At the least he'd get to spend time in the company of his sibling.
