Sage stood at the frozen lakes edge. Bi-coloured eyes looked down into the depths below. The perfectly preserved trees never failed to baffle him. It was wondrous. The bottom of the lake was too deep to see, simply fading into darkness.

Silently he sat, head down. How did it happen exactly? Was it gradual? Or was it one big rainfall then, SNAP, frozen. If it was the latter, there had probably been animals down there that froze with it. It was a sad way to go.

Shaking himself from his thoughts, Sage looked up to the horizon, where an orange sun gradually rose. The frosty morning air warmed a bit at it's presence, the rays warming the healer's fur. With a smile, he rose, padding out to the centre of the lake, on his way back north.

The girl had gone south and reunited with her brother unexpectedly in the new Southern Alacritia. Though she truly believed that he and her father were both traveling the rest of the world, together or not, when it came down to it she broke into tears confessing the thought that they were truly gone. She was alone, but it had been that way since her mother left Isis on the way to their new home. Ghost never was good company. Either quiet, or deathly.

But she had found a way to come back north to see Tahlia again, she knew her time would come soon and she wanted to be there for those last moments. It was the least she could do.

She wandered around Alacritis until that time would come, hopeful to return back south with her brother and Kangi. So she found herself north of Tahlia's home, not realizing that it was spring now since this place was covered in ice. She looked down at the world below, finding it ever so fascinating and wondered what it would be like to live down there. Of course, if it wasn't frozen.

Her thoughts were quickly interrupted by a black figure in the distance, something that struck out from all the surroundings. And Misty was always will to meet new wolves, good or bad, so there was no fear of the wolf turning on her. She took off, having a decent grip on the ice being familiar with all the terrain since her time in Cercinia. She slid to a stop, at a comfortable distance for the man coming up behind him. If the noise didn't bother him, her voice would get her attention.

"Hello there!"

Sage looked to his side to see a woman sliding to a stop a few leaps away.

"Hello there!" she called. With a friendly smile, Sage cautiously made his way over to the woman. The ice beneath him obviously didn't make a very secure surface to walk on, so the man was careful. His claws slacked against the cold lake, adding to the many scratches and scars already there.

He looked up, almost within casual speaking distance of the woman, then he lost his footing.

"Oof!" he said. The impact winded him, the slippery ice stopping him just in front of the wolf. Recovering, Sage looked up. Whoops. His ears flattened in embarrassment. "Um, hi." He said, his fall scrambling his usual formal greeting. Scrambling to regain his footing, his sat in front of the woman and looked at her somewhat shyly.

"Sorry about that. I'm usually a bit more formal. I'm Sage, miss."

Instantly the man turned towards her voice, but as he came to greet her as well, she noticed his footing being very uneven on the ice. It was instinct to her, if she would have known he was going to tumble she  would have came in closer rather than have him fall and hurt himself.

As he slipped, Misty would start to move towards him, but hesitated unsure on how he would feel about her using herself as a leaning post. Not everyone was  comfortable with touching complete strangers.

He would get back up on his own, Misty taking a seat as he did and he spoke rather unusually. He was more formal and he called her miss. She would giggle to his words, especially after his embarrassing scene followed by a not so formal greeting while he was still latched onto the ground. But enough of that, he was fine so the day could continue on.

"I'm Mist Flores," She copied, but of course she had more to say. "Normally others tell you a shorter name to call them by, but I'd rather go by Misty."

There was no particular reason why she went by Misty... She had a rather bent up past that had hardened multiple things, but her name wasn't one of them. She wished she could go back into her young days with the rest of her siblings and her parents, that was the only time a name actually meant something...

She looked down at his paws before looking back up at his face with a warm grin. "You don't look so good on your feet," She giggled a little more, "So why would you come to such a place?"
