The girl had been laying in their designated sleeping area for all day it seemed. There was still plenty of day left, but she normally spent most of her time inside the ship. She let Lian go out and have his fun whenever he pleased, even after he returned injured not too long ago. Of course, she had no control over him but she wished she had him on a leash sometimes.

It was finally spring, and the weather had started to rise to higher temperatures letting the metal den warm up inside even with the snow still frozen outside. She was leaned up against one of the walls near a corner trying to make up for the heat she lost with her absent brother. Her eyes were closed like she were sleeping but her stance obviously showed she was just resting with her head held pretty high and her ears turned back.

Little did she know there was a blind demon snooping about... If her half-sister was even in the same chamber as her, she completely ignored the fact that she was there. It was normally very quiet when the other's were gone, and Zola hoped it would stay that way. She didn't care much for the new additions; well she did care, but not so much in a caring way. She wished the two were never left behind... or that Lel would have just threw them into the ocean.

Like her older sister Armai spent great amounts of her time within the confinements of the ship she and her family called their home. The outside and its snow were unappealing, how Calder could stand it's frigid, wet feel was beyond her - and the smell (or the lack of a smell) of the icy white plague was awfully mind numbing, at least for the young girl and her sensitive snout. Her enhanced abilities of sniffing things out and of picking up on the most minuscule of sounds had already began to surface, and it was these talents that allowed the girl to have mapped out the entire ship just as well as anyone with sight. Exploring it had quickly transitioned from an exciting challenge full of surprises - and exaggerated whines whenever she'd run into something - to a familiar bore. So, naturally, the girl's attentions fell upon a new mystery, the ever elusive older siblings.

Perhaps the child's curiosity was finally in bloom for she had ventured far from the little room she spent her time in, snuggled up like a bunch of silver feathers, and was in search of a certain big sister. She was terribly easy to find, following her scent and all - but even if she hadn't left such an obvious trail, anyone could have known Zola would be lounging about in her den if she wasn't outside. Luckily for Armai, Zola was ignoring her, and so as the gray pup did what she hoped was a soft sneaking (really a loud toddling) through the metal halls she could be happy to find her half-sibling completely caught off guard.

With a soft chirp the fluffy ball was bubbling with excitement as she made a small leap through the doorway of Zola's den and landed tumbling towards her sister. Giggling the girl exclaimed, hopping to her paws and shaking her head, "Hallo!"

Though Zola was ignoring her sister's claws tapping along the floor of the ship, she could still hear them. After every second her ears would pull back farther and her eyes would tighten more. And eventually something she did not want but could have been expected came tumbling her way; literally.

Her new half-sister would jump in through the door of their sleeping chamber and come rolling practically on top of her, but Zola would quickly rise and move out of her way. Fire rose in her eyes as she looked down at the brat giggling and jumping right back up to her feet. A greeting shouting from her lips. Of course, none of that would calm down the infuriated girl.

"What. Is. Your. PROBLEM."

She shouted just as a teenage girl would if her little sister had taken her brush. Of course, this was nothing like that. Zola had an undying hatred for these new siblings. She would probably never let them fit right into her heart. Some siblings loved their little brothers and sisters, of course while others could deal without them for a day or two. But Zola would have gladly drown them in the ocean... It wasn't like they had done anything seriously wrong to deserve it, at least in the eyes of others.

Instantly the large ears of the pup rang with pain as her sister's unanticipated exclamation echoed through her skull. Armai's ears fell flat against her head, her giddiness trickled off into confusion and her bouncy movements became slow and unsure - perhaps Zola just didn't like her tumbling? That was okay, Armai didn't want to upset her sister further and so going without a bit of rolling was fine by her. "Sorry!" gurgled the child, her short milk-tipped tail wagging eagerly behind her, "I didn't knew you didn't liked that!" Her words retained their excitement, failing to mirror her now hesitant movements and confused mentality. Her blatant disregard for proper tense and word structure shined as she spoke, the mistakes adding a certain charm to her - but surely to Zola they only made for another ugly annoyance. Hopefully one day she'd grow out of it.

Armai waited patiently then, her little face upturned in the direction of her sister - though she obviously could not see her. Despite how clear it had been to her brother, and to her father and possibly her 'new' mother, her elder siblings dislike for her remained cloaked and disguised. Armai's naivety, innocence and perhaps her wishfulness kept her blinded from the hatred burning within her half-sister's heart, menacing and threatening and a clear warning of STAY AWAY - every sign remaining unnoticed by the fae child in favor of hoping that one day her siblings would simply stop acting so strange and play with her...

But life would continue to be cruel as it seemed Zola would never accept her, though to Armai this had yet to be discovered. Calder continued to drift from her and she had yet to truly bond with any of her family members beside herself - even that mother of hers, the one that had broken Mai's heart, the one she had tried so hard to bury in the fluffy happiness that was her imagination, had abandoned her.

Focusing in on reality brought Mai back to the situation at hand - her infuriated sister and herself in a warm metal room on a large ship frozen into the snow. The child took advantage of the silence to question her sister, attempting to initiate what she hoped could be bonding, "Wha's wrong? Did you had a bad day?"

The way she spoke wasn't what was making her blood boil, it was just the fact that she was in here bothering her. The days weren't like this when it was just her and Lian, even before they moved to the ship.

She would turn the her sister, the girl could probably sense the tension rising off her skin, but her voice was enough to send over the message. If it made it through Armai's head or not...

"Everyday is a bad day for me!"

She didn't necessarily shout, she just spoke very exaggeratedly. She would then move in closer to the coner she was in, and place herself back down. Please go away. Please just get bored, and go away. She thought with the pull of her ears. Why, oh why couldn't Lel, or Lian, or even Calder be here to drive her away...

Mai's ears twitched as she heard her sister shuffle about and settle back into the corner that she had disrupted her from. The little pup's body bounced playfully as her sister spoke, the tension and frustration in Zola's words evident but once again ignored by the child that simply wanted her elder sibling's affections. "Das' really sad, Zooola," sang the girl, snow-tipped tail lashing giddily, "But me could help your days!"

And help her days she would - it really was a disconcerting thought for the wee pixie girl, that her sister had to suffer through badness everyday of her life; clearly the only solution was to bother Zola more often and make her days better! As per usual Armai gurgled forth a perky chirp, "Do you liked 'Hide'n'Seeked', cause I'se can still plays that, y'know; my nose is prettys good!"

After about a second of silence, and hard thinking on Armai's part on what she'd just said, the girl blurted out again, "B-Buut, if you's dun wanna plays that then, thas' 'kay too, we can cuddled instead!" And with that Armai took a small hop forward, and towards her sister.

As Zola closed her eyes again to try and block out her sister's voice. Her ears pulled more as she suggested that she could make her day better, and Zola just wanted to scream at her and get it through her head that she was the problem. But before she could, Armai's next words made her ears perk and a devilish grin rise to her cheeks.

"Oh yes Armai, I lovee hide-and-seek." She would stand to approach her, Lian could have told by her face that she was all playing, but her voice was spot on with honesty. "I think you'd be great at it."

Of course, Zola had her plans to just hide somewhere very quietly so Armai couldn't find her. She thought about her whining but there was no one else around to come to her rescue.

"Would you like to be it?"

The girl grew ever more excited, if that was even possible, as her sister seemed to brighten - all because of her! Armai beamed up at Zola, hopping again as her sister agreed to play some Hide-and-Seek and then complimented her skills at the game, which was spot on of course, she was quite good. The silver fluff broke into eager giggles, dancing around her sister before flopping down in a small puffy heap beside one of the metal walls.

With little ivory tipped tail wagging behind her, the fae-child sang, obviously for her sister's enjoyment, "Ookays, I'se it! Ones, Twos, Threes-" She continued to count, meaning to stop at ten before going on the hunt for her sibling - there wasn't really a point in her facing the wall, as she saw nothing anyway and had no way of peeking; if you asked her it was a bit of a cheat whenever she played as 'it', as her acute hearing and sense of smell never turned off, but sometimes she just liked being sneaky.
