The woman had a sense of false determination fill her up. She was determined that the next wolf she met, she would talk to them without stutter or fear because they would not hurt her. Her eyes held this boldness (bold in her mind at least) as she walked confidently around the borders. She knew, back in the end of her mind, that she would chicken out because she had made this promise before but she had to try. Even if she could get one or two words out before shutting down, than she would find it a success. Perhaps she should try and speak to Novella about getting help with hunting while she was at it. She was lacking in everything and she knew that since the Author was kind enough to allow her onto pack lands, that she had to do something useful.

She didn't want to be this way but it was the way she had been made. Her light tawny fur bristled slightly as she scolded herself. She needed to get away but she lacked the opportunity. "Hmmmnhmmnhmhmhmmmmmn." She hummed inaudible words to herself as she left the safe haven she had clung to for the first time since being accepted into Threar. She was on 'loner lands' once more.

Her crimson orbs shimmered in the small amount of sunlight that could be seen in this time of day. Her white pelt made her stand out from the green and brown that surrounded her, but buds that were blooming and would soon become flowers surrounded her in a beautiful piece of colors and flowers. The black around her face and chest, as well as her black front legs and red eyes made her seem somewhat evil, but, being her daddy's girl, she was a sweetheart and always willing to meet new friends, even if they were older than she was since she was only eight months old.

"Hmm, maybe I can practice my fishing skills," Mystic pondered and walked over toward the stream and went to try and find somewhere she could possibly catch a large fish to show her family. Her fur blew in the wind that began to pick up, but she paid no heed and once a fish came into view, she went to snap down, but, her jaws were too far away from the fish and she ended up losing her balance, plummeting into the water as the rapids began to be seen. She hollered out for help, but water kept on getting inside her lungs and in attempt to find help, she howled out and screamed, trying to find someone who could possibly help her and hear her cries.

A cry for help reached her ears and Hecate's head instantly snapped up. A wolf was in trouble, the screams reminding her of her past, and she had to do something. She ran towards the source of the cries to find the open water. Concern filled her as she spotted a form clinging for dear life as a pup, a child tried to fight the currents. Instinct made Hecate react as the surprisingly strong swimmer leapt into the water, fighting the current with her own legs as she kicked towards the child. Her jaws stuck out, trying to get a hold of the child's scruff to pull her from the water in order to potentially save her life.

Mystic coughed and wheezed from the raging water that continued to fill her lungs, weighing the young pup down. Her crimson eyes shown pain and fear when she kicked as hard as she could from the raging water. That was when she could see someone leap into the water, trying desperately to grab her scruff, and Mystic swum as hard as she could in attempt to be rescued by the stranger. Her hind legs kicked furiously, trying to get herself free from the waters that began to get worse the farther that they went. And, soon, she was close to the she-wolf, her eyes showing thankfulness that the woman was trying so hard to rescue her, even though she could tell she was a pack wolf from all the different scents that flooded her nostrils.

With due time Hecate found a grip on the child's scruff as she started to kick to drag them both to the dry land that was a matter of feet away. With a deep breathe, she pulled herself up onto the land. She was soaking wet but that was not her concern. With a few tugs, she managed to pull the child up to the safety of the not water. Her eyes were filled with concern as she started to look over the young lass. Are you alright? Her mind asked her question for her. It looked like the girl had swallowed a large amount of water... perhaps she should call for Novella since it would seem the Author was more skilled in healing than Hec would ever be.

Finally the shy woman would vocalize her words. She had never known herself to be afraid in a situation where another wolf needed her help so Hec managed to speak without a stutter. "Are you alright? I think you need a healer. I can get you a healer if you need one." The woman was carefully observing everything about the girl from how she breathed to how she smelled.

Soon, within a matter of minutes, she was heaved upward upon the land, coughing and gagging up water as some managed to splash to the ground as she managed to get her breath sorted out. Her crimson orbs looked to the woman before her, cocking her head to the side only slightly before speaking in a calm and collected tone, even though water still was present inside the young pup's lungs.

"Thank you for your concern, Ma'am," she smiled in a thankful fashion before speaking once more, some water managing to get out of her mouth once more, "Also, I appreciate you helping me in my little predicament. My name is Mystic, may I ask yours?" She sat upon her haunches and saw a butterfly flying around her as she playfully tried to snap at it, a playful growl erupting from her throat as it landed upon her ebony nose and she cocked her head slightly in confusion.

The girl insisted she was fine but the way she spoke suggested otherwise in Hecate's mind. Her tone sounded a bit off but that might be because she was coughing up water. Hecate ignored the cold she felt from the water, her eyes still holding concern. The girl introduced herself as Mystic. "I'm Hecate. Are you sure you're alright? There are many healers in Threar that could help you." This pup was just that... a pup. Surely there would be a healer who could help her if she required it. Hecate's mind went into overdrive and suddenly she forgot all of her fears and everything like that.

Mystic gave a small smile and shook her head. Her crimson eyes stayed focused on the different scenery before looking over at Hecate again and giving a friendly smile. "Thank you, Ma'am, but my mother is a healer and can help me if I need it." Her eyes focused mainly upon her eyes, seeing a butterfly that landed on her nose and she gave a small sneeze, causing it to flutter into the air then land back on Mystic's nose. "Hello, Mr. Butterfly, how are you today?" The butterfly batted its wings as if replying to the young pup before taking off again.

The young girl insisted that she was fine but Hecate was not convinced. She would not force the girl to get healing aid from Threar if her mother could provide it and the timid nature of the woman was starting to kick back in as she shivered from the cold water. The adrenaline had worn off and her stutter had appeared. "O-oh-ohkay." The stuttered words were met with Hecate turning away from the young child in order to waltz off towards the safe haven that was Threar's pack lands. She took slow, deep breathes to keep her heartbeat under control.
