Abaven was easier to be in with the return of her sister, but she still found she had trouble seeing Bass and Wren together. At least in Mo's company she could be as lonely as the new mother. They'd spent a lot of time together. She felt like Chord though, her feet were restless and her need to see the world was giving her an itch. Telling Motif briefly that she was going to go find their brother Rhythm would disappear from the territory. Maybe the fresh air and the freedom would help set her emotions straight.

Dark paws would carry her rather far from home, her dainty figure would eventually come to the place of white trees. Bright dual toned gems would take in the spectacle. The grass remained a bright emerald despite the trees, but would begin to boast a carpet of tiny white flowers. Elegant limbs would carry the girl beneath the white vines and through the flora. The long dark hairs of her tail would flick behind her eagerly as she took in the sights, sure of her aloneness.

Her lungs would fill with the clean air around her, the scent of spring bringing her to life she she found herself dancing on the lush grass. A gentle breeze found its way through the trees, the gust would tousle her luxurious fur as she let herself relax in this silent place. The day's light would begin to fade, small fireflies began their ascent from the earth and it seemed to Rhythm that a layer of magic would overcome the valley. Surely she was in a dream.

A small smirk quirked the corner of his lips as he peered out from the shadows of the trees. He had been wandering around aimlessly for the majority of the day, finally ending up here where the trees had been drained of their color. Night had started to sink over the lands, lighting up everything with a pale hue of pink and orange before it began to fade into darkness. It was all quite beautiful, but nothing that just astounded the gold and slate-blue boy. His ears perked when he heard the movement of paws against the ground and the scent of another wolf caught his attention, turning his path a bit toward this stranger.

He stopped at the edge of the tree line, watching as a dark brown colored woman danced among the flowers and fireflies. Smirking, he stayed hidden for a bit, enjoying watching her dance like a pup. With his vibrant coat and leaf-green eyes he knew he wouldn't stay hidden in this pale forest for long, but he would stay in the shadows for several more moments before finally stepping out into the clearing with a rumbling chuckle. Over sized paws carried him toward her, each step holding a little bit of a confident swagger. She looked so small and delicate compared to his massive form and he couldn't help but stare. "It must be nice to be so carefree that you can dance around in a field of flowers," he teased as he came to a halt in front of her.

She would let her paws carry he effortlessly over the private garden, her form twisting and turning as she let herself get lost in her dance. She could feel the emotions pouring from her like tears, but her face would remain dry as she waltzed over the earth. Her mind completely occupied the she wolf missed the presence that had taken to observing her movements.

He would remove himself from the shadows and bright dual colored eyes would find their attentions set on his burly form. The destruction girl would stop at his chuckle, swiftly turning to face him as she felt her features burn in embarrassment. Dark ears were against her skull as he addressed her. He would tease her before comin to stand before her delicate frame. "I dance to forget about my cares," she would answer softly. The only reason she was even here were her rampant emotions. They'd always been so dull her entire life. Now though, she felt like she was always a wreck. Rhythm would not offer her voice again as she looked him over curiously, what had brought him here? Was her dance so captivating a stranger could not pass her by?

speech,

A small smirk curled at his lips as he looked the little brown woman over, his dark-tipped ears twitching in acknowledgment to her words. Her markings were far more delicate and subtle than his own, but they were certainly beautiful in their own right. She was so much smaller than him, shorter by at least a foot. He was certainly used to others being smaller than him, but it never stopped fascinating him. Smaller, more delicate ladies were always the most beautiful in his eyes. Although, as beautiful as she was, his eyes kept getting drawn back to her own uniquely colored eyes. While his coat was his main focal point, he thought hers might be her eyes. He had never seen such a mix of colors before.

"Oh yeah? And just what kind of cares could a pretty little thing like you have?" he asked as he settled onto his haunches, settling in among all the flowers around them. As snarky and over confident as he was, he still held a deep seeded concern for others so when he asked about her cares he might have said it in a pompous tone, but his vibrant gaze showed how truly curious he was. He wondered if she would tell him, with him being a stranger and all. Oh well, if she didn't it wouldn't be any skin off his back.

Her intruder was much more vibrantly colored than herself, much taller as well. All in all a much more impressive wolf than she would ever be. She wasn't one to judge appearances, and would count him in among the other wolves she'd become acquainted with. Appearances were not as important as interaction when it came to capturing a place within her memory.

Had the land she found herself drawn to been more hostile she might have been screaming, crying, beating her little paws bloody.. anything to channel the raging feelings that boiled within her very core. As he took a seat before her his curiosity about them would cause her gaze to be averted, her ears falling to her skull as she became more distant and cold. What did this stranger care about what she was going through? She'd spare a glance back at him, catching his vibrant eyes, the curiosity evident but for what reason?

Dark lips would utter a sigh, the defeat within it too much to be masked like she would have hoped. Her bright gaze would fall to her paws, did she have the strength to say them aloud? "The kind that would like to swallow me up." Her voice was a whisper as her mind would dwell on her dark thoughts and Rhythm would be transformed from the bright and care free sprite to the dark tortured wraith she felt like inside.

The obvious pain on her features and the disappointment in that heavy sigh made him falter a bit. He didn't know her from any other stranger, but he hated to see anyone this bothered. Especially someone that looked as lovely as her. He lifted one of his forepaws and used it to gently tip her muzzle up so that her eyes wouldn't be on her paws any longer, instead gently lifting her gaze to meet his own again. That over confident smirk had fallen away and his expression had grown a little more serious. "A face this pretty shouldn't look so sad," he murmured softly, a faint smile tugging at his lips.

Letting his paw move back to the ground, he watched her curiously, wondering what in the world could have her so troubled. He wanted to ask her about it again, but he had a feeling that she wouldn't tell him the second time he asked any more than she would have the first time. "What's your name?" he asked in an attempt to get to know her better and help her relax around him enough so that he could finally satisfy his curiosity and find out what was bothering her.

She was tired of hiding what she felt, there was too much of that in Abaven, with all the tiny wolves running around she had to wear a smile. forced or not they deserved nothing less than their aunt's happiness, even if it she was only pretending that there were no shadows haunting her vision. The girl would watch as his paw was used to lift her delicate muzzle, the touch was a bit unexpected but she didn't jump. Allowing him to guide her gaze to his own His expression seemed much different, a hint of seriousness had replaced his previously rough expression. She would blink as he offered his lyrics, soft and sweet he would deliver a message.

She didn't want to be sad, a slow blink would hide her gaze from him as he dropped his paw from her chin. reluctantly she'd open her eyes again, taking in the hints of a smile. Not that any of that would be able to clear her head of it's need to dwell on those thoughts. The best action he did for her was changing the subject and asking her name. "I'm Rhythm. Rhythm Destruction." She'd offer her full name before breaking contact with his gaze, unable to keep it as she clung to her secrets. "Who are you?" the girl's head would tilt, she knew neither his appearance but his pack's scent was vaguely familiar.

speech,

His leaf green gaze found her bright eyes as he gently lifted her head. His touch was gentle and kind, giving away the soft personality he hid deep down behind layers of over confidence and attitude. It wasn't a conscious decision on his part to be this way, he simply did not know how to embrace this softer side of himself or, in all honesty, want to. He liked having his swagger, he liked walking in and stopping a room. He wanted to be feared on the battle field and wanted by every lady he passed. He wasn't sure if that wolf was really who he was, but he was still young. He still had plenty of time to figure out who he really was. He had time to crave fame and glory.

She would grace him with her name, the Destruction name familiar. There were plenty of her family around Alacritis after all. "Niketas. Niketas Artenie," he would reply, mimicking how she stated her full name even though his lineage wasn't nearly as prestigious. Well, his father's side was a bit more well known he supposed, but he hadn't seen Taurig in... well, longer than he could remember really. His father was a distant memory now, a fact that saddened him a bit. Turning his attention back to the lady sitting in front of him, he gazed down at her, asking, "Is your pack near here?" It was mostly just for idol conversation, but he was also just curious. He could tell from her scent that she was from a pack, but he wasn't quite sure which one. Although he wasn't sure if it was the pack in question causing her to be upset. If it was he regretted bringing it up.

The pair would not linger on her depressing thoughts, and unless Niketas was a very talented wordsmith it was unlikely he would unlock the secret horrors she hoarded within. Outwardly she was usually pleasant, with a simple smile on her features, but as he'd caught her in the midst of forgetting.. she was vulnerable. Now that she had his name though her confidence would build once more, shielding her thoughts from the light of day. He'd easily respond with his own name, offering it in similar fashion to how she had given him her own. She wouldn't recognize his family's name, but would keep it within her memories just in case.

She'd find herself glancing up at him as he continued moving further from their conversation. He had no idea what caused her troubles and there were doubts that he would ever guess on what it might be. His questions were easy enough to answr as long as he didn't press to hard, and would bring a welcome distraction. "I live in Abaven with my siblings," she would find herself telling him easily, "What about you?" She would manage to ask back, her voice almost timid as she struggled to continue the conversation. Surely she would run him off with her boring social skills.

Abaven. He wasn't entirely sure he had ever heard of such a pack before now, but to be honest it was probably a good thing. The only packs he head heard much about were the ones Catalya had on her hit list. The fact that he hadn't heard of Abaven meant that they had escaped her poisonous reach. She turned the question back on him, asking for information on his home. He would pay no mind to the timid nature of her voice, only going on to answer her question instead. "I live in Arcanum with my mother and sister at the moment. Well... sisters, I guess. My mother had another daughter but she hasn't even really introduced me to her or anything so... I don't know. I only really count my litter mate, Freya. I have other siblings, but she's the only one that lives in Arcanum as well." He realized he was rambling and stopped himself with a shrug. It was probably more information than she really needed or even wanted, but despite her awkwardness he was enjoying talking to her. "Family is hard," he added with a smirk.

The transition from her intense emotions to their places of residence was rather smooth, slowly the girl would bury her thoughts back where they belonged. Hidden. While Rhythm wasn't entirely sure of Bass's relationship with Cataleya even if Niketas had said her name it was likely she wouldn't realize who it was he talked about. She would listen intently as he explained his pack and his family to her. Grateful for the thoughts that were not of her own family she wouldn't feel inclined to stop him as he went on. Finally adding that family could be hard. "You have no idea." her words were partially for herself, but surely he'd known about the many members of her own family that were littered across Alacritia.
