Walk | Talk | Think She had run off on her own away from the mountain that her family had been living on in search of something new. It was not like she exactly needed anything particularly new to keep her busy; there was still plenty of mountain left to explore if she wanted to, but the fact of the matter was she had no interest in it anymore. The winds that had buffeted against the high peaks had calmed and stilled almost to the point of nonexistence, leaving things quiet and...well, boring. Gale had been attracted to those winds that used to whisper loudly through there, had enjoyed listening to their roar and feel their power against her lavender-touched body. But without them there she felt herself growing restless, discontented, and curious about what else was around the mountain. Her travels brought her further east, which meant closer to the sea. Water was in no way her element - that was Locha's paws down - but there was something to be said for the winds that rolled in swift and strong off of the ocean. The smell might have been not to her liking, but it was a small price to pay for finding a place that made her feel happy, made her feel alive again. What she found was another cliff. It amused her that often her favorite places were cliffs, tall, daunting places that rarely kept visitors long but always managed to have the wind keep it company. Gale was drawn to it, climbing until she reached the flower covered peak. Stopping there, knee-deep in the colorful blooms, Gale grinned. Not only could she feel the wind against her body, tugging and winding through her wispy grey and lavender fur, but she could hear it hit the cliff, could see its rippling effects as it moved the flowers about and made them dance. This...this was perfect. Still grinning, Gale closed her pale, grey-green eyes and breathed in deeply as the feel and sound of the winds surrounded her, finding the scent of the air to even be tolerable with the power of her element on display. |
