maybe I'm a different breed

The day was reaching it's peak, and the girl ambled along the shore without a care in the world. Her alabaster toes were picking up bits of the crushed ebony stone that she had long since known to be the earth beneath her feet. It clung to her fur almost constantly now, grit sticking to the fluffy violet strands without care for her irritation. She didn't like the feeling of it rubbing against her soft, newly minted skin, and wished she could get it all out already. Kicking the occasional ocean smoothed pebble into the surf. What am I gonna do today? The lavender babe asked herself quietly, the possibilities stretching endlessly before her. She could try and catch a fish, or go for another of those long walks! Or maybe she could try and make a friend. She wanted someone to hang out with that wasn't her sister, and she didn't have anyone else to play with. Her other sibling had yet to awaken from their comatose state, so ill it frightened the girl. Where was Milli anyway? Casting her gaze about the beach, she sought the familiar leopard spotted form of her big sister, but found no one.

With a sigh, she planted her little rump on the ground and wondered what she was going to do today. Sure as heck she wasn't sitting around all day doing nothing! Mismatched optics glanced around, and finally, in a last stitch attempt to cure herself of boredom, she flopped right over and started wiggling all around in the sand. Sure, she'd be trying to get it out of her coat for weeks after this, but sitting around was so boring! With all four ivory dipped paws sticking straight up in the air, she let out a discontented yap. Something needed to happen, and take away this little cloud of boredom hanging over her head.
