DROWNING IN MY SORROWS

Ebony paws kiss the earth silently as the carmine viper drags herself across the foreign territory, her nostrils hovering inches above the ground as she stares at the dirt with an empty gaze. She feels emotionless, as if all the feelings she had ever felt had been sucked from her existence. She didn't know what happiness was anymore, only sorrow and regret. She didn't understand why Artemis had done this, why she had up and left not only her, but her only son. Tears blur her vision as her mind replays the same questions over and over. She wasn't exactly sure why she was heading this way, but something was luring her toward some random pack lands. There was a scent here that her body unconsciously followed, something sweet and familiar but she couldn't put her paw on it. She is just about to cross over the borders when she stops suddenly, her skull raising to align with her spine as she peers out into the rocky garden. A long and sorrowful whine slips between her clenched jaws, her eye lids falling shut as she stands there motionless. What in the hell was she going to do with her life now...
