The girl had been laying around in the den all day, or at least  most of the day so that when she went out the sun will still set pretty high. She walked down to the water after jumping down from the entrance of their ship. But as she looked down the shore and towards the woods beside it, she was really hoping to spot Lian to join him in whatever he was doing. But she saw nothing but maybe a few birds picking through the snow hoping to find themselves some lunch.

Armai was probably still inside doing whatever... Or maybe she was just wondering around outside. Zola would flick her neck around to make sure that her sibling was not sneaking up behind her. Sometimes you didn't care for your siblings, but Zola hated hers.

She would look down at the water before taking a seat beside a couple rocks. This is where she told Lian that she truly loved him a few nights ago... And promised she'd never leave him. But when could they take their leave? Zola didn't want to leave too early in an effort to keep her family stable... but she wanted so desperately to be free of her new brother and sister.

That his older children were not fond of their younger siblings had not escaped his notice. It would have to be righted soon enough, he had plans for them and while there was currently no end game he was eager to start on their training. Better to be prepared than not. For the most part he did his best to try and keep an eye on his youngest girl, which usually led to also watching for Zola since it seemed the small girl had taken to her older sister.

His little girl was hiding at the moment and when he saw Zola making a break from the den he followed assuming Armai would be with her as she usually was. When he finally caught sight of his daughter again however his youngest was nowhere to be seen. He shrugged, approaching Zola with his tail raised and a slight smirk upon his face. “And what is it that has the warrior princess so wrapped up in her thoughts today?” His voice was smooth, as he approached her, hoping to draw her attention.

Zola was startled by her father's voice, but slowly moved her head to face him before looking back at the shore and pulling her ears back, looking a bit sad. She wanted to face her father. She wanted to tell him that he let her and Lian down, that he hurt her more than anything ever could, to tell him that they wanted to run away... But she couldn't. She couldn't face him, and she couldn't run away. She could live with a guilt of leaving her family even if it was hell. Though she didn't know Lel planned to have even more children away from Jian. She couldn't have a baby every season...

So instead of trying to tell him off or just crying to the fact, Zola would say what really was on her mind, or at least what was before her father made a surprise visit to her.

"I wanted to go out with Lian today but... he already left."

Her nose remained pointed to the sand even after she spoke. Maybe the fact that that wasn't all on her mind was making it's way to the surface, or maybe she was just being really good at her semi-act. She couldn't tell, but she also didn't know.
