The den seemed so empty nowadays. It was only her and her two children. Sometimes all she could do was stare at the empty space that Kylar used to occupy. Each day she would pick up a few pieces of her shattered mind and heart for the sake of her children. Lifting her crown, she would gaze at the sleeping bundles of her children. They had been questioning where their father had disappeared to, but she had no answers for them, until now. Never had she babied them, always giving them to cruel truth, no matter how damaging it might be, and she wasn't about to change that now. The morning sun barely light up the den, keeping her kids in the shadows. She would remain silent, allowing them to wake up on their own accord. It was bad enough that she would have to tell them where their father was and why he was gone. Her brother had been right, she needed to snap out of this haze and get on with her life. Her husband obviously no longer wanted her, there was no use in moping about it, she had pack to run and an empire to build.

Something had happened between her mother and her father. It was blatantly obvious from the way that her had been carrying herself these past few days, as well as the fact that her father was no longer around. It had been a burning question on the girl's tongue, but for once in her life she had held it, deciding that her mother would tell her in due time. One would think that she would miss the hulking, silent presence of her father but she didn't. She could care less if her sire was around or not, he didn't do much for them anyways. She only cared for how her mother was doing and since the disapperance of her father, the silver queen had been acting quite strange, making the girl inclined to think that it was the dark man's fault. She already didn't like her sire and if she was to discover that he had somehow caused something to happen to her mother, she would inclined to loathe the bastard for the rest of his life.

Viola would lie quietly beside her already monster of a brother, the growing pups sleeping safely inside of their den, their silver mother watching over them like some kind of sentinel. Lately the girl had been a light sleep, tuned into her mother's every move and today was no different. Cataleya's quiet breathing would stir the girl from her sleep, fiery eyes blinking sleepily as she came into the world of the conscious. Immediately her gaze would be drawn towards the silver queen, a yawn splitting her growing jaws apart as she rose, taking a moment to stretch before padding up to her mother. Viola wasn't usually one for affection, but she felt it was necessary that morning as she pressed her head into Cataleya's neck, wondering if her mother would ever tell her and her brother just exactly what was going on between her and their sire.

He didn't sleep often anymore, silenctly mourning the missing father figure he always slept next to even if there was no affection there something was missing. Something was wrong. He loved his mother and sister but his attachment to his father was blatently obvious, often times having silently sat with the man even if Kylar had wanted little to do with them. For the first few days he had pestered his mother, demanding more then asking to know where his father was and then curiosity had gone to worry and worry to a silent sort of resentment. His slept now with his sister between himself and his mother, head laying atop massive paws. Large ears would flicker at the sounds of movement and his pink eye would ease open for a time, watching his sister lean into his mothers neck. He didn't ask where his father was anymore, more because he could see the pain in his mothers eyes when he asked then because he didn't care to know anymore... But despite the fact that he had laid off the questions he would no comfort his mother as his sister did, instead he would lay slightly aside and regard them. Watch the bond that they shared. Maybe it was a girl thing. Who knew. Girls were stupid anyways.
