She didn't... entirely like the idea of leaving her and Valen's children unsupervised here. A surprising thing, first that she should feel so protective of anyone, and also surprising and concerning that her protective instinct should feel the need to protect the children against their own family. She craned her head to look for Valen but he was already facing off against Neios, and she swallowed. Hard. But she couldn't waste time and energy and concentration if her goal was to embarrass her whatever-Valen-was-to-her's mother by destroying whatever warrior she'd sent against her. Her eyes traveled with a deliberately lazy air over the fighter who had been named, though inwardly she huffed in annoyance. Damn, this one looked like she was good. She'd be hard pressed to beat this one. She could clearly see just by glancing around that Arcanum was not made up of all warriors-born like this woman, so clearly Cat had pitted her against one of her best to embarrass her. Whatever - she would just have to overcome the challenge and laugh in Cat's face. Mentally she stuck her tongue out at the silver bitch and cheered Daegmar for challenging her. Go Daeg go! Casting the woman a sly smile as they moved into an unoccupied area (ooc: assuming that Aerndis is actually going to go with her and not just hang out with the rest of the pack, lol, if that's ok with Lunar) she winked. "Well sweetie, seems I got paired against the sexiest wolf in Arcanum. Care to show me what else you got going on?" She made an inviting gesture. Your move, lovely. "Cascade vs Aerndis Tournament Spar Round 0/?"

Imperium wolves piled in as well as the rest of Arcanum's forces.  The moment Dægmar was in view she stole Aern's gaze and the older woman's eyes narrowed sharply.  There were pups at Dægmar's feet but they were to old to be the ones Dægmar had been carrying in her belly.  Had Dægmar had another litter already?  Jealously bubbled up viciously in her gut.  She had be spurned by the gods but they would bless her sister so?  That spoiled little brat?  She growled but quickly silenced herself.  She'd have her moment.  One way or the other.  

Cataleya started the meeting and quickly set them off in their pairs.  Lavender eyes turned to her partner…. miss Cascade.  She didn't strike Aern as the warrior type but the gladiatrix knew better than to drop her guard around wily combatants.  She needed to put on a good show for her queen and for her sister who was foolish enough to actually challenge Cataleya to a battle.  This would be interesting indeed.

Aerndís moved to follow Cascade as the settled in their own little space.  Aern turned her head away as if suddenly shy and flustered by the other's flirtatious nature. "My darling Cascade, we've only just met!  But I would be more than happy to demonstrate my physical prowess on your elegant frame."

Defenses fell solidly into place.  Ears pinned and eyes narrowed as she snarled viciously, jaws parting in preparation to attack.  Her chin tucked just slightly as her neck scrunched back, shoulders rolling forward to cushion her neck with fur and fat.  Hackles raised as head and tail aligned with her spine.  Aerndís' legs spread equidistant apart, her weight evenly distributed as her legs coiled to lower her center of gravity.  Toes spread, claws bit into earth as her body tensed for a moment before she launched herself at Cascade.

Aerndís attempted to close the distance between them as she tried to come at the other woman low and nearly straight on, about a foot to her own right.  Aerndís hoped to brush her left side along Cascade's left side as parted jaws attempted to grip her opponents left knee.  Head would tilt to her own right  as she attempted to have her upper fangs land on the outside of Cascade's knee, lower fangs on the inside so the patella would rest in between her jaws.  Aerndís hoped to gain a grip and pressure the joint and maybe sprain it.

As Aerndís attempted the bite she would also attempt to throw her left shoulder up and slightly to her own left in an attempt to throw the tip of her shoulder blade into Cascade's left-sided gut about equidistant between the hips and the ribcage in a bid to knock the breath from the ebony woman and maybe make her wretch.  Weight would shift evenly over Aern's back legs and left front leg as she attempted to lift and slam her right forepaw down on Cascade's back left paw hoping to sprain the toes.
