Pale paws would flinch with the annoyance of the small black grains of sand sticking themselves between her toes and inside the bottom of her pads.

A low growl rumbled in her throat, pale paws flinching as she awkwardly made her way down the obsidian beach, high steps being pulled up and her gait was placed in a march.

She probably looked like an idiot at the moment, any other wolves around might even chuckle or crack a giggle at the ivory Queen. But, oh this sand was annoying as Hell!! Not even dirt clung itself and entangled your fur like the small grains of sand.

Anzhelika would step into the shallow water of the ocean, shaking her coat as she attempted to rid her coat from the small particles. Yet, the ocean was made up of salt. And her shaking in the water stirred up the salt and entangled her fur even more with the small black grains of sand and salt. "God.. Damnit." She would sigh out, standing in the shallow water as the salt and sand made home in her ivory fur.

Walk | Talk | Think

The burly grey male had given himself a rare day off to explore the territories that surrounded his home rather than busying himself within them as he was more often caught doing. His concern for the safety and stability of the pack had been pushing him to do everything that he could - patrol and hunt being at the top of the list - but he could feel it beginning to wear on him. He was going to run himself ragged if he kept up carrying the weight of the pack, if he did not learn to share the burden he had placed upon his shoulders with those he had entrusted with places in Secretua. So he had left it to them, to his children and his single recruit. It would probably do them all some good to get him out of there as well; he knew he was something of a stick in the mud when it came to their youthful ways of doing things.

Where he found himself was upon a beach composed of what appeared to be ebony sand, and though the location was entirely different and nothing like the delta he recalled it reminded him a little of his mother. He missed the woman, hoped dearly that she could see the handiwork he was creating and could look upon him proudly. His frosty blue eyes panned out across the waters as he paused to stare, hoping too that she knew he still thought of her despite all the time that had passed since she had gone. Would she have liked that he named his pack after her?

The empty landscape was suddenly less empty, the odd motions of a figure walking - no, marching - down the beach drawing Rune's attention away from the water to watch her peculiar progress down the beach and toward the water. As tended to happen when around company, the Guardian's features drew into a puzzled frown, watching with open confusion as the white wolf stepped within the ocean and shook. Whatever her intent, if the look on her face was any indication, things were not going as planned. Naturally he was not a chatty individual; he much preferred keeping to himself rather than seeking out others unless it was absolutely necessary. But he did still need to recruit wolves into Secretua... However strange they might have appeared from afar.

He hurried his pace as he padded down the length of shoreline that separated them, studying the woman the entire time as if it might somehow reveal more about her before he had a chance to speak with her. Obviously she cared little for the ocean, which seemed of little consequence. Secretua was not located upon the water anyway. It was not until he was close, well within sight and too close to turn away without it being obvious, that he realized the scent she carried was already marked by another pack, one he could not name. It discouraged him, made him consider with a hesitation to his step, turning and leaving despite how rude it might have looked, but a moment of weakness caused him to be generous and rather than depart he addressed her, still frowning, "Having some trouble?"

Anzhelika Zinaida Rusakov
"Having some trouble?" The large grey male would call out to the girl, amethyst topaz watching upon her progress in her rather. . . Sticky situation. "Oh, yes, this sand. This damn sand entangles itself with my ivory coat, getting itself stuck in the most annoying places. Between my toes, under my pads, in my fur." She would say with an annoyed growl, her tone not it's usual self. No, today it seemed to be more high pitched from the worry and trouble the sand was causing her.

"How can another wolf even step on these lands and enjoy the scenery with this damn sand?" She would say with a sigh, caramel dipped tail flicking a bit in the water. Oh gosh. Well, now it was caramel and sea salt dipped. Maybe I just shouldn't move, she thought to herself as she turned her head and neck rather awkwardly to face the male, attempting not to move.

She might have heard what he had to say, but she hardly seemed to react. Rather her attention remained focused on her predicament, the sands and grit from the sea that had managed to cling to her body and stubbornly refused to be washed away. It all seemed odd to the grey male as he watched the look of disdain and irritation on her face grow worse with her growled statement, apparently becoming more animated now that she had an audience to properly complain to. Inwardly, Rune sighed, wishing he had listened to that voice that had urged him to leave rather than approach the woman. What use was he going to be here without a proper way of ridding her of the sand that bothered her so? If anything, he might have already been in trouble since he had approached her with no means of assistance. Perfect.

"No one else cares," he states as a means to answer her hypothetical question, quite certain that he was right. Since when did wolves who traveled on the beach care so much about the sand until after the fact? "Might want to avoid the beach from now on," he added unhelpfully, his tone low yet even. Sure, it was probably the obvious answer to any future inklings she had about returning to the beach, but for the moment his advice was entirely useless. And frankly he hardly cared. She was not one of his, would not be one of his by the scent of a pack - a pack that as of now was still unidentifiable - that clung to her, and he had no reason to go out of his way to appease her. But he could not entirely stop himself from asking, his puzzled tone possibly coming across a tiny bit condescending as he watched her freeze in some last ditch effort to save herself from further discomfort, "If you don't like the beach, why are you here?"

"No one else cares," those were the words that caught her attention, perhaps quite true in the sense that nobody else cared about the dark obsidian sand that lapped at her ankles.

There were many other wolves around that had packs close to this beach, so of course they would be the ones that simply did. not. care. It seemed logical enough to her, but she wasn't one of those wolves that came to the beach nearly daily for this damn sand. No, she would be the one who did care about keeping her pelt free of any debris. She might take his words into consideration, though. To avoid the beach from now on.

Then the male would speak once more, pale ears flicking as she listened to him. "If you don't like the beach, why are you here?"

The words were, honest to Hell, a good damn question. Even the ivory Queen would toss it around her mind a bit, giving it some thought.

"For the scenery, honestly." Her lyrics would be laced with a calm tone, the pale girl flicking her gold and amethyst gaze to the ocean's horizon, the beauty of it all simply breath taking.
"Why are you here?" She would simply ask him in a soft tone, her attention turning back onto the male as she watched him, awaiting his response patiently.

The white wolf's answer was almost comical, and had Rune been anymore inclined toward it he would have laughed. For the scenery. He was very near to shaking his head at the frivolity of the statement but stopped at the last second, recalling times himself when the look of a place had held more appeal than did anything else about it. In particular, he could remember standing at the Delta with his mother, watching the water and listening to her speak, finding a pleasantness in the location simply because of the memories associated with it. "Scenery comes with a price," he responded gruffly, trying to draw himself back from his distant thoughts. It was going to do him no good if he suddenly found himself in a different time and place mentally. He needed to stay in the here and now.

He should have expected the question to be turned back around on him, but it still caught him unawares, his mind blanking for a second as he tried to figure out just that. "My pack - Secretua - is new. I've been trying to recruit for it. Figured I'd stop by the beach since it's closest," he answered, keeping his statements simple and to the point. No lies, he did not try to hide his intentions in being out this way, though he had already written her off as a lost cause. And after seeing her find such difficulty in simply navigating the beach he was beginning to wonder if it had not been luck after all. How did she manage to do any hard work if she was so caught up in her appearance?

"If you travel further up the beach and get out of the sand, you should find a stream or something of fresh water. You can clean up there," he offered, attempting for once to be helpful to a stranger. Not that it was going to get him anything, but her whole predicament was just so odd that it seemed to set him out of sorts as well.

Oh, but how right he was. Scenery definitely came with a price, but.. Just not one she had to pay for. Everywhere she went, everyone would stop and stare at the enticing pale angel known as herself. She was the price of beauty, and everyone just admired as a cost. Though, she kept her thoughts to herself. Not to come off as arrogant to the male. He was a kind thing, by far. And the newly given information about the stream was surely useful, because this damn sand was getting annoying as Hell.

"Why thank you, sir. I wish you luck with your new pack and finding new members. Now, if you would excuse me, I must go and wash off this damn sand from my coat," she would quickly say in a soft tone then turn and leave, but not without a quick bow. "Pleasure meeting you," The white woman would say before walking off into the distance, large paws carrying her over the obsidian sand awkwardly as she tried to avoid entangling the sand forevermore within her ivory coat.
