Mikhail's dark nose quivered as he regarded his surroundings curiously. This place was wrong somehow. The man couldn't quite place it, but he was fairly certain the sheer quietness was entirely incorrect and the fallen trees were a bad sign. He didn't know why. Wasn't sure he wanted to know why. But here he was nevertheless, trekking westward even though he wasn't sure he was going anywhere in particular. He hadn't really been "going anywhere" since his younger years. He rather wanted to take a seat somewhere and rest even though the land he was wandering through at present seemed unsettling.

Spying another fallen tree, the white wolf altered course to approach its upended roots. He regarded them thoughtfully for a moment, taking in the twisting roots, the dirt attached to them... it had been a large tree, alive and green once. Now it lay pathetically on its side, roots airborne and useless; it was dead for lack of nutrition, had probably been this way for months. What would have caused this? An ominous feeling pressed into his chest.

He felt it within before he heard it... a trembling beneath his paws. The earth was moving! It lasted only a few seconds, but Mikhail still couldn't stop the small yelp that escaped his jaws as he crouched to keep his balance. Ah, well that explained it then. Earthquakes! He knew this place was much too quiet! No animal in their right mind would stay in a place plagued by earthquakes. Maybe he should reconsider his resting place... if there were small tremors now, there was bound to be something worse on the horizon... he doubted these small rumblings were the end.

"I'll break the silence and watch it fall to pieces"

The large woman was used to earthquakes, where she lived they actually happened often. Though they had never really had, the big one, so the damage was minimal. However, it did not stop from making her feel the least bit uncomfortable. Her gray toes splaying over the broken earth, and gray eyes making an attempt to seek out any life. Animals were fleeing, which meant something big was probably going to happen, but the veins that popped out of her pelt in a strange fashion seemed to brightly shine in the sunlight. They also, might resemble the dying tree's, was she a dying tree? The giant's tail wagged back and forth, in a nervous habit as she raised her head, seeing a trunk to jump on to get a better look. Only to spot a male, another wolf stuck in this situation. Any normal time she would have ignored him, or at least tried very hard, but it was best to warn him if you weren't used to earthquakes it could end badly. Especially if you fell into one of the many craters that it created.

She would inch towards him quickly, using her lighter weight despite her size to stay only a few feet away from him. "You should leave, if an earthquake happens there's no telling if it would swallow you up." Amachi would say, though she felt her body heating up. It was hard for her to speak with strangers, she was a slight introvert even if she believed she did want to do something for others. Although, the pain of her past was one that she forgot, especially since she tried to focus on the now. She wasn't worried for him no, it wasn't possible for her to care for a stranger so easily, but the death of others was something that easily weighed on her mind.

"You should leave, if an earthquake happens there's no telling if it would swallow you up."

Pale blue eyes lifted immediately from looking at his own paws (had to make sure they stayed planted, after all!) and the owner of the voice that had so suddenly cropped up. She seemed to have come from no where at all, but in all fairness Mikhail hadn't been paying very close attention to his surroundings at the moment. Who - or what - his pale eyes fell on prompted him to freeze for a fraction of a second. She was absolutely immense. Sure, Mikhail was leggy and tall, but she was easily a head taller than him. And so strikingly-marked. Peculiar. But not ugly, he would muse to himself. A smile formed promptly on the man's pale muzzle, his dark lips stretching a bit thin; it was the smile of a stressed animal... but he meant it, even so.

"Thank you, Madam," he bowed his head deeply before daring to stand up straight again and giving his pelt a quick shake so his fur stood out on end. "I appreciate the advice. Should you not also be going? That is- have you stopped just to tell me this, Frau?" He would ask, head canting toward her curiously. He might've guessed something was wrong with such a quiet place... somewhere so barren.

"I'll break the silence and watch it fall to pieces"

The male would make a point towards her, it would make her regret speaking for a single moment as she always did. There was a word she didn't understand in his sentence, when he said Frau she had to tilt her head. Her ears would move back and forth for a moment trying to think of what to say to him. He hadn't experienced something like this before so she just worried, after all she had seen inexperienced wolves lose themselves in natural disasters. "I think I'll be okay, I've dealt with earthquakes before. In my homeland they are common." she would hop off of the tree trunk in that moment. Towering over the man as she gave a nervous smile.

"They're scary if you aren't used to them, that's why most animals avoid them. I'm sorry if I assumed." he could possibly be just as experienced as she was. Now she felt stupid, self conscious of herself. Making her recoil a little, her tail brushing against the top of the tree trunk she had been standing on. Well, whatever happened would happen and she would have to deal with it afterwards.

Mikhail regarded the woman contemplatively, his expression revealing some of his stress after the quake. Nevertheless, his eyes soon curved, their cool color offset by a natural pleasantness. After she explained herself, and offered an apology, the pale man tilted his head, for two reasons: one was so he could turn his good ear to her voice. The other reason was his own befuddlement as a smile - small though it was - stretched across his pallid maw.

"Milday, there is no need to apologize. Ach, I was rather foolish to have ignored the signs that something was... ah... well-" There was a particular word he was looking for. He blinked a few times, shook his head. Unable to remember it, he chose another after confirming it in his own native tongue softly, "Nicht gut. Not good." He paused again, but this time rather than searching for a word he was looking back up at the woman, that smile returning. "I have only ever heard of these... these-" Stuck again. "...shaking things," a sheepish look overcame the man at that point, for he knew she had spoken the proper common word for them moments before...

"I suppose it is back the way I have come then," he murmured to himself, then to the woman: "My name is Mikhail Weiss. What might I call you?" With a name, he could thank her properly. He wondered if she would say at all... she seemed a little shy.

He was polite, it made her relax if only a little bit more. A small smile shown on her face, he was a bit of a foreigner. Yet at least unlike Caia, he could speak English if even only a little. She pulled forward again, so her tail stopped brushing against the tree trunk. Amachi was determined to make sure that he was safe up until the journey out of this dangerous place. "My name is Amachi Mackury, yeah they can be dangerous but at the same time they're probably the best thing to get stuck in compared to a tornado or storm even a fire." she made her paw steps match his own.

"If you'd let me I'd like to see you out." She stopped for a moment, her gray eyes looking over the shorter male. It wasn't her size that made her so different as was her colors and markings. However she could compliment him, his appearance was very defined. She knew some wolves were specifically bred in their family, who were picky with gene's. Although she wasn't one to make assumptions either. Itsume save her.
