Cold blue eyes stared down at the creature cowering at her paws, a small rabbit. Ainsel nudged the creature towards the river of lava, ignoring the quiet complaints of the bat on her back. "My queen....Are you positive we should torture this....thing?" Ainsel didn't speak, instead pushing the creature into the lava. It melted away before her eyes, and yet the female still said nothing until a moment later. "N't 'n' 'f th'm." Ainsel muttered this under her breath, automatically translating the words. Not one of them. Those words seemed....strange to her. Why could she not be one of them? One of those creatures that lived forever, that outlived everything? Why did she have to be mortal?
Head turning a little, she glanced at the bat on her back, who was staring at the lava as if he were afraid that Ainsel would kill him as well. A quiet snort came from Ainsel. Silly creature. I wouldn't kill you. You're my company.
