got a ways to go

Huge dirt covered paws would carry the almost two year old pup through these interesting lands. His almost silvery lavender eyes scanned the trash ridden land and his chaotic nature would not let him pass up this opportunity. There was all kinds of crap here to investigate! Surely he and his new brother would be able to find something to do here. Already though he found himself growing irritated by the debris that littered the ground, he'd suffered at least two little cuts from the ground biting him. He would growl at each prick, baring his fangs at the sneaky dirt. Oh it wouldn't give up its treasures with out blood payment. Not that he was going to be parted with his life force with out a fight.
Kicking the dirt with his back paws he tried to ignore the occasional bite, his time would be much better spent searching for actual interesting things. His large form would continue into the field, suddenly quite aware that Cesar was not at his side. Picking his head up and flicking his ears nervously the boy would look around for the wolf that had taken the place of his now long dead family.

”Oooh-hoo-hoo!” the imp tittered excitedly, scampering along after the taller wolf he’d spotted up ahead. ”Broody-brooty-brooty!” he sang, briefly eying the other with a grin before bouncing to the side. Everything here was so glittery! There were… things! He wasn’t quite sure how to describe it, but there was just lots of different stuff. He’d been here once before, and remembered finding something very fun to play with. A crinkling thing. He scurried around a bit more in a loose circle around his companion before a sharp pain stopped him immediately and he leapt a good foot into the air with a little yelp. ”Yeowch!” he squeaked, lifting his front right foot. He paused, plopping his rump onto the ground to pick the offending, tiny glass shard from his paw. Stupid shiny. He flexed his foot, and then seemed to otherwise disregard the trivial injury. His bite wound from his fight earlier was still struggling against his constant picking and gnawing too, but was healing up nonetheless. ”They have to find the thing,” the beastling announced, his grating voice low and his nose to the ground. ”The crinkly!” He paused, both speech and motion. ”It’s only the most fun thing ever,” he added, in anticipation of the need for clarification. The scrap of clear hide, that was smooth and see-through and so fun to crinkle.

His large ears would perk towards the familiar sound of his companion's voice as he skittered up beside the taller brute. His marked lips would pull back in an amused grin at the sing-song greeting he received. He couldn't help but to compare this new companion to his family. They would have scolded him harshly for wandering off on his own, but Cesar had no problem following right after just as carelessly. Brutus found his attentions captured completely by the antics of the smaller wolf and his gaze would linger as he circled. However even Brutus would jump as the other got bitten by the earth just as he had. Though, seeing the experience course through Cesar's form would cause a loud laugh to sound from his thin chest. "The ground bites!" He'd call as he continued giggling, easily striding after Cesar as he recovered.
He would eagerly gobble up the words offered as the quest was initiated. They had a prize to search for. Brutus would listen intently at the description, they just had to find the most fun thing ever. He would halt beside his companion, ears perked eagerly as he smiled with anticipation. "Yes, fun things!" His childhood had been less than pleasant, and now the young wolf found pleasure in traveling with his almost child like companion. He could be a pup again, and that feeling was indescribable to the abused brute. That bear had saved his life.

Brutus giggled as the imp was jolted by the ground’s alleged biting. The bigger wolf giggled, and Cesar would glance up to him. A broad, mirroring grin would sprout across his face and a hoarse cackle would then follow. Yes, he supposed that was a bit funny! The ground wasn’t supposed to bite, and yet it had gotten him! He then aimed a quick, vengeful scratch at the barren ground – lucky that he missed hitting more glass shards. With a huff he proceeded to scuttle around a bit, tiny coal nose pointed to the earth and snuffling over various scraps and bits of trash. ”Hmm,” he crooned to himself, then halting and straightening suddenly. He looked towards Brutus, arching his brows. ”It’s clear and smooth, kind of like a piece of skin but not,” he gave a more useful description, then sticking his tongue out with determination and continuing to keep glancing about from where he was. With another random, creaky groan (for the mere purpose of chasing away the quiet), he would set off to a nearby knoll of garbage. It looked promising.

(04-20-2015, 08:21 PM)Cesar Wrote: He'd perk his features towards the other wolf as he enacted his own revenge upon the earth, Brutus wouldn't falter as his icy violet eyes searched the grounds before them. What kind of fun play things lingered here? His attention would shift more fully to the things that were littered everywhere. His nose would skim the ground, though he wouldn't be interrupted from Cesar for very long. "clear and smooth" What had clear and smooth skin though? This object seemed almost fictional, but he would trust his companion. The other man seemed to find his own way, and Brutus would look the opposite.
With a huff the boy would scratch over the surface, lowering his head to a piece of fabric that stuck from the earth. He'd sniff it curiously before taking it into his teeth and pulling. His prize would be an interesting toy. There was a weight at one end of a long tail of fabric, and on a whim Brutus would throw it. It would fly really far. His eyes would bulge out of his head as the object went soaring. He could't help the amused laugh that fell from his lips as his long legs took him after the play thing. He couldn't help but toss it a few more times, though he'd actually run after and try to catch each one.
