Pounce. Hop. Move a little this way and a little that and you come to where the adult female was at. The only way to reach her was by a pounce and a hop with a little this and that way moves. At least in her mind. 'Come now dear, do be serious.' A pout came to her as she looked beside her as if someone was there. "But Layla!" There just came another rebuke as she refused to hush about the subject. Oh yeah? Well she would show her! Kaylie took off in the direction that she knew the river would be, or at least she thought so. 'Turn around dear, you're going the wrong way.' She was? Another pout came forth as she turned around to go the other way. "Oh yeah? You think you are miss smarty pants huh?" Her sister didn't answer her but instead ran along beside her always keeping up the same pace.

Once they reached the river Kaylie smiled, "See? I can do things all on my own!" She was rather proud of herself then until her darn sister just had to say something. 'Oh please, that was all me dear. You know this. Can't you think straight?' The comment insulted her and she growled at Layla before she looked at the river and spotted some rocks that looked easy enough to jump across. "Oh! Pretty rocks!" Kaylie wanted a closer look and she forgot about her sister for a moment. Her strides brought her to the rivers edge where she sprang off the ground and onto the first rock. Tan paws firmly grasped onto the slippery surface before she beamed to life once more. Kaylie took another jump but this time the landing did not go so well. Her hide fell into the water and she splashed about, inhaling much water. It seemed as though she were drowning in an ocean and there was no one to save her. 'Idiot! Stand up! The water is barely deep!' Some form of realization came to her and made her stand on all four feet as she coughed up the water in her lungs.

"I was handling it just fine thank you very much." Kaylie stuck her nose into the air and started walking off...until she tripped over a rock. Yes, this was her life. Constantly getting into these dangers that her twin Layla got her out of. Kaylie however, thought she was just as smart and brilliant as any other wolf her age. Oh if only she knew. Rather than stay at the river she had so graciously found, the girl moved on. It was time for the next part of her adventure! Three hops forward, then straight into a free skip. Until the next tree got straight in her way and she came crashing down once more. "Ow! Stupid tree!" Kaylie rubbed her head gently with her paw and looked over at her sister. 'You're fault, not mine love.' "Yeah, and here I thought you were suppose to keep me outta trouble. Isn't that what mother said." There was no reply to her though and so she scoffed and got back onto her feet. Well fine then! If she was going to ignore her then she would do it right back!

Without another word she stormed off, stamping her feet the entire time. Within seconds though Kaylie forgot all about what had just happened and stopped to look around her. She didn't know this place, was she suppose to? "Where am I Layla?" Came her obvious question as she turned to look beside her where she knew her sister would be at. 'For once I am in the same situation as you dear. Some place new is where we are.' New? Did she just say new?Oh how the excitement flowed through her as she bounded forward and let off a joyous howl. "YES!" Kaylie had been dying for some place new to come to, oh how she had. New places were always so exciting and instantly her tail went up to wag furiously in the air as she pounced around. Without even a warning she turned and pounce on her sister, or at least she was going to. Yet again though, she missed and went tumbling to the ground with a yelp before a growl came to her throat.

"I still don't get how on earth you do that." All that was offered in return was a soft laugh which made her a little bit angry. Angry enough to start running in some random direction. Before she had a chance to get far though, something came out of no where and she slammed backwards in an attempt not to run into whatever it happened to be. The result? Kaylie had run into a tree. "Now look at what you did Layla!" Even as she stomped her foot her sister just laughed at her as if it were some hilarious game of hers. Who knew! It always seemed like she was playing games on her. Kaylie could never catch her either, every time she tried to, she disappeared! It was like magic! 'I am not made of magic dear.' Hmph. "Shut up. I'm not talking to you." And there was nothing she could do about it. The wolf proceeded forward, nose high in the air and tail raised as if she were queen of the world. Who knew, she could be.

Ebony had always been a place that had felt like home to Andromeda, perhaps even more so than some of the other places she had lived and yet, it was only recently that she had really been able to officially call it that. Perhaps that little detail was the main reason she found herself leaving the pack land's these days, there was no other place in the world that called out to her so why would she leave home? She had family lingering on the other side of Alacritia, her younger siblings there had passed through her mind a few times but whilst she shouldn't really have played favourites, it was her siblings here in Ebony that mattered the most to her, they took the priority in her life.

Every now and then the whim to venture beyond the borders of the lands would strike her. There was no real reason, she didn't crave the company of the loners lurking around nor did she truly have the desire to explore, content to finally have a real home. Perhaps it was simply to stretch her legs a little further than normal, or just curiosity to see what souls lingered close to the Ebony lands. If they were a threat they should steer clear, if they were harmless then they could continue on their way.

There was someone around now, her scent lingering though it was her voice that caught Andromeda's attention the most. Of course the golden hued girl was only able to hear one side of the conversation and she had only caught what was actually being said in those final words, the order to shut up. Nose carefully examined the area closer, just in case perhaps the wolf had a companion with them though no scent was as fresh as the wolves and it still didn't explain the fact that she had only heard the one voice.

It may have been best to steer clear of the girl, leave her to her antics and only face her if she happened to leave these lands to advance upon Ebony's. For now she could easily be harmless, and yet still rather perplexed by this command to shut up Andromeda simply couldn't help herself. She was cautious in her step, treading lightly as she advanced and certainly not moving too close to the stranger. For now she remained silent as well, her intention was mainly to observe, perhaps if she stayed far enough behind the other wouldn't actually notice her.

It wouldn't be fair if her words actually you know, made her sister shut up. Oh no. Layla just had to open her big fat mouth didn't she? 'Actually if I recall dear, it was you who always had such a loud mouth love.' Oh she'd show her... if she wanted to see a loud mouth then she better show her what that meant! Perhaps if she started screaming into the trees around them... yeah that would show her. 'Love wait.' The paranoia in her sister's voice stopped her cold as she felt as if she needed to pay attention. "What? What is it Layla?" Her voice was barely above a whisper as she tried to figure out what her sister could possibly be freaking out about. Kaylie looked about herself frantically but as far as she could tell, there was not a soul in sight. What was going on? Why wasn't Layla telling her? It didn't make any sense to her. "What aren't you telling me?"

'Quiet love, I'm trying to listen.' Listen to what? Kaylie tried to listen to what she could possibly be talking about but found that she just did not get it. With a huff she threw her rump against the ground as she sat down impatiently. Listen to this, listen to that. Did Layla listen to everything but her? Sheesh! "Are you done listening yet? There's nothing out there." Gosh, if there was something out there then she would have seen it! 'As I've told you before dear, you don't have to see something for it to be there.' Oh look, there she went again. Being all high and mighty on her. Kaylie just rolled her eyes and flopped on to her stomach like she didn't have a care in the world. 'What are you doing love? Get off the ground, it's not safe.' With a snort she just shook her head before getting back up on to her feet reluctantly. "Admit it, you just don't want me to get dirty." Layla was always trying to get her to be a "good" mannered and behaved wolf after all.

'You never could take things seriously dear.' What was what supposed to mean? Hmph! That wasn't very nice. No, that wasn't very nice at all. "Well maybe I'll just have to find myself a new friend! Then you won't have anything to say to me." Ignoring what her sister said after that, Kaylie turned around and started to walk the other way. She didn't care what her sister said - she was going to do what she wanted and she was going to have fun. At least, she hoped it was fun. Besides! She was going to make a new friend! There had to be someone in these trees besides her, it just would have to take a bit more time to find them. That was all. They were just playing...playing hide and go seek! Surely that was it. Right? Right!

Andromeda's plan appeared to work to some degree, she hadn't been actually acknowledged yet and was succeeding in her silent observation of the stranger. There was one part of it all that left her terribly confused as the other wolf continued to chatter away. The golden hued girl wasn't foreign to the idea of companions though by now she was completely convinced that the stranger ahead of her was alone, not one of her senses; sight, smell or hearing betrayed the presence of another being. This wolf was as alone as she was at this moment in time.

That concept was of course an easy one to wrap your head around, but the words themselves only seemed to become more and more confusing as time went on. They were not simple thoughts spoken out loud 'which way shall I go now?' or 'oh no, it looks like rain' this was an actual conversation or at least one side of it. There was a name mentioned, and what appeared to be an argument of sorts judging by the less than impressed tone of the rather talkative stranger. It wasn't actually the first time that Andromeda had encountered someone with an imaginary friend of sorts though this was the first time that she was suddenly aware of an invented being supposedly lingering around the area.

Knowing about the imaginary existence didn't make any of this easier to deal with and frankly she got the feeling that the best thing to do was leave the crazy wolf in peace. It seemed though that the made-up persona was more observant than the wolf herself and there was a moment Andromeda feared she had been discovered. Somehow in the madness the wolf denied the presence of anyone else and it seemed that she was still safe. She wouldn't take her eyes off of the other just yet, though carefully she began a slow retreat, hoping not to disturb the surrounding branches too much to enable a quick and easy escape.
