Tripping Over You
Regulus Anatolii Adravendi |
Regulus had come away from is first real spar the victor, and it was with a sense of confidence that he carried himself away from the field and back to the Redbud Nook. He was quite sore, but that did little to diminish the spring in his step. He knew his mother would be pleased, and his sister would be yelling at him once they were out of the public eye, or maybe even before then. She had definitely soaked up much more than knowledge from their grandmother. He, however, had gained a great deal of their grandmothers patience. They were both fine legacies of their predecessors. He imagined Faite, wherever she was, was just as good.
His tail wagged behind him as he passed back into the reborn forest, sapphire eyes seeking his mother and sister. He hoped Zuriel had met some friends. He’d already encountered two, Aslan and Luck, brother and sister of Threar, who were also the children of the alphas of Threar. Pretty neat. Of course, by now, he would be satisfied to stay by his mother and sister for a while and rest up for the walk home.
Cinder padded ahead of him, fluffy tail in the air, looking very proud. Regulus followed, wondering if there’d be food. Of course they could always eat when they returned home.
