Atreides rolled over onto his back with a sigh, tucking his forepaws against his chest while his hindquarters drooped down so his hocks rested on the ground on either side of his tail, paws to the sky. He hadn't been able to sleep well, and, staring up into broken and half-covered rafters of the barn structure, the chunks of bright wintry sky showing through the holes in the roof with it's annoying brilliant reminder that it was now daytime certainly didn't help. He'd gone for a walk as soon as the sky had brightened with pre-dawn light in an effort to shake off the weird dreams that had plagued him all night, but he'd ended up just flopping down here again. At least it wasn't his den, but he was still itchily restless with no real motivation or desire to go anywhere in particular. He had nothing to do these days, with Daegmar dead and buried just like his mother and father, and Hati gone missing somewhere. No training to do, nowhere he was expected to be. Though he liked the freedom, he didn't like the monotony, and he really didn't like feeling like he was a failure, like he wasn't doing his best to live up to his father's name. But what was he supposed to do? He'd just recently turned one, and he'd yet to see any evidence that anyone took him any more seriously than when he'd been a pup. But maybe that was his own fault - too content to sit back and let things happen to him instead of pushing for the attention he craved. Drashiel hadn't just sat around waiting, had he? He'd gone off and built his own pack from scratch. Even Integra had taken her life into her own paws, going off to get more advanced training when she couldn't get it in Imperium. And what was he doing? Moping around doing nothing. Yet despite his internal self-castigation he had no more motivation to get up right then than he'd had when he'd flopped down here.

OOC: Open to anyone in Imperium. Open to the idea of a spar if it goes that way.

He didn't know what to think of the barn, with the roof partially caved in (or so it appeared from down on the ground) and the walls so precariously balanced. He'd seen the other two structures in the range and was equally unsure of them, but his curiosity had been getting the better of him lately. Once he had learned that he was welcome here in Imperium, he had decided it was his end of the bargain to at least know what all his new home had to offer him. And that included the barn. He wasn't sure what it could be considered good for, except maybe a shelter. Though in all honestly it looked like it would let more rain fall on your head than a good tree would. Maybe it harbored prey? Though that wasn't something he could deduce standing out here gawking at it. He supposed the only way he was going to learn why its' existence mattered was by going inside and having a look around.

He inched his way through the permanently ajar door, managing to keep his hide away from the splintered sections that could have ruined his mission. He had grown considerably since his joining Imperium, though he was still relatively small being that he was nearly a year old. His fur and skin still hung loosely around his skeleton, which had only just begun to acquire muscle now that he had an adequate supply of food available to him. His eyes adjusted to the dark in an instant and he noted that the barn was very much occupied. There was a boy here, larger and slightly older than he. He'd seen him somewhere before, but only briefly. The boy appeared to be sleeping, for he was on his back - legs strewn comfortably over his midsection. "Oh - sorry," Shaw croaked, offering a quick apology before backing up a step or two, prepared to leave if he was ordered to.
