Throughout the Autumn, Aslan had found himself growing ever curious about the scent of a mountain lion lingering around the lands of Threar. He'd ran into her on a couple of occasions as well, only to frighten her off it seemed and it had been quite some time since he had found any traces of her since. He had pushed his thoughts of her away as of late though, as quickly as she had appeared it seemed she had vanished, leaving the pack alone, not that he'd ever gotten the impression that she intended to be a menace to them.

One thing however that didn't seem to be settling was an urge to venture out and explore the world. He loved Threar of course, the pack was his home and he had no desire to leave it though the trip to Glaciem (or where Glaciem would have been) had left him wishing for other similar adventures. His little breaks were of course far smaller than that one had been, just small journeys around the Eastern lands of Alacritia and that was how he had found her once again, somewhere around the Stone Steppe.

Well he hadn't found her yet though there were indeed traces of her scent around here, amidst the fading scent of a pack. He hadn't known of Ebony or Yfir, despite being so close in location they'd never communicated at all and it seemed unlikely that they would any time soon now they had vanished. The pack wouldn't hold his curiosity though, the feline's scent would instead. She ran from wolves and yet it seemed she had some curiosity of her own, lurking around the lands of another pack.

He'd been gone longer than intended, the short winter days meaning that night was now upon him but with the damage already done he wasn't ready to return just yet. He wouldn't seek out the mountain lion though he was perhaps to be here for a while and sought to explore the lands now, his path taking him across those dwindling borders, perhaps to find some shelter for the rest of the night if he could.

Psalm was slowly discovering all that was the Eastern lands. He hadn't spent a whole lot of time in Fiori since he'd been exploring so much. He wanted to see everywhere though. He knew his mother worried about him, but he couldn't help that he had adventurous paws. He checked in on her enough, but he really preferred being out. Sometimes he'd be with Hymn, the both of them making perfect adventuring partners. He was alone now. Dainty paws carried him to what used to be a neighboring pack. If he remembered right it was Ebony? He'd heard about them before because of the war, though he hadn't paid that much attention. Now the land was free to explore and that was what he was intent upon doing.

Eventually he'd realize he was not alone, long after crossing what had been the pack borders he'd find a vaguely familiar scent. One of his cousins or second cousins from Threar is what he smelled like. Though his name would escape Psalm. Had they met before? Curious the boy would jog forward, coming up behind the other boy. "Hey!" He'd holler, not aware of what Aslan might have been up to.

Past the old border he continued, heading deeper into the former lands and closer to the strange structures ahead of him. From here he certainly couldn't admire the true beauty of the stones, or even fully realise it was more than a rock pile though he sought to investigate anyway, perhaps simply hopeful that he'd catch a better sight of the mountain lion again soon.

Instead however the other being that he found was in fact another wolf. The shout was what caught Aslan's attention, pausing to turning his head to look over his shoulder towards the tiny figure approaching him. Aslan was hardly a typical size himself though this male was amongst the smallest of wolves he'd seen.

"Hi." He responded in return, turning himself slightly so as to get a better look at the other. Now closer he could recognise the scent, this was a wolf from Threar's neighbouring pack, Fiori. "I'm Aslan Destruction." He gave his name, Fiori weren't a threat and something else about the boy's scent was stirring something familiar within Aslan's mind anyway.

Psalm would easily succeed in getting the other boy's attention, his taller form would turn to look back at him and Psalm didn't hesitate in drawing more near. He'd smile brightly as he was given a greeting back, a simple Hi as the tall chocolate Destruction introduced himself. "My name is Psalm Destruction!" He'd give a name back, their relationship becoming much more solid in his mind as they introduced themselves. "What are you doing out here? Exploring like me?" He couldn't help but ask as he looked up at his tall cousin. He couldn't help the gently wagging tail at his rump as he spoke.

Psalm, the name was vaguely familiar he had heard it mentioned before though he couldn't fully recall why. With his surname announced however Aslan could only assume that this was one of his cousin, Novel's children, they had been the only Destruction's to remain within Fiori apparently. He wouldn't bother confirming such facts with the bubbly fellow and instead would offer a smile in return to him.

There was little chance to respond with anything else anyway as Psalm asked another question. Aslan wouldn't reveal Lux to him, much as he hadn't told anyone else about his encounters with the mountain lion and instead would simply give a little nod of his head. "Yeah." He responded confirmed. It was only by chance he was here anyway, exploring had been the initial thing to bring him here. "The stones over there seem to look pretty interesting, shall we go take a closer look at them?" He suggested, that had been his initial plan anyway and he didn't mind the company; family was always welcome company anyway in his eyes.

Aslan would confirm Psalm's suspicions with a single word and the smallr boy would nod. This was indeed an interesting place to explore, and now that he had some family there in his presence it seemed like an even better place. Before he could suggest that they explore together Aslan was quick to make the offer himself. Psalm would beam as his tail wagged a little quicker. He'd been feeling really bad about neglecting his family recently. Hanging out with his cousin now would help that feeling.. right? His bright blue gaze would shift to the rocks in question, his form going still for only a moment as he peered toward them. The moment was over quickly though, with his usually high energy he'd jump back to look at the taller chocolate wolf. "Yes, we should!" He'd agree, not waiting for Aslan to take the lead he'd be off towards them.

Aslan quickly had come to the conclusion that Psalm was certainly a rather excitable fellow. Each word spoken and each movement made with such a childlike enthusiasm, his small figure perhaps only aiding to that puppy look. From a distance, an onlooker probably could have quite easily mistaken Psalm for a pup and Aslan as an older, more serious wolf looking out for him, though he had no such goals as the smaller boy scampered off towards the ruins and simply would follow after him. "Wait up!" He called, though longer legs would of course quickly catch up before they had reached the stones.

"It's pretty big..." He commented, slowing down now that he neared the structure of the ruins. It of course wasn't his first glimpse at any mysterious man-made structure, though the oddities of the shrine were almost expected, this crumbling pile of rocks seemed rather odd. "Where shall we start?" He glanced back to Psalm now, leaving the decision up to the other.

Aslan called out for him to wait up, and he'd slow a little so that Alsan could get to where he was. He couldn't slow much due to the difference in their stride but the two of them would make their way to the structure. As they neared the taller Destruction would comment about how big it was, Psalm had pretty much realized that everything out there was always going to be bigger than he was. He'd take in the formation, wondering what it was they might find here. Aslan would ask where they might start, and Psalm would go for the obvious. There was a rather grand archway that could have easily been some kind of main entrance, why not start there? "How about the entrance?" He'd return as he started in that direction. Maybe they'd find a path to follow after that. There was no telling what could be waiting for them to find.

They could have examined the outer portion of the strange structure first, wandered around the crumbling walls though there was surely only so much they'd be able to see from such antics and indeed the large archway did look somewhat intriguing as well. More awaited them to explore within the ruined building and he would give a small nod to the little man and follow behind him as he led the way through the entrance.

Inside there were indeed paths to follow, starting along the straight line they'd soon find yet more of these strange entrances, interesting in their own right though not as grand as the one they had discovered right outside. This particular one had crumbled, the doorway now half blocked and scrambling would be necessary to continue through to the collapsed room on the other side. Even Aslan's taller height couldn't see beyond the rubble to the room on the other side and he looked to Psalm to allow the other to lead again, onwards or through here?
