ooc: All must attend this meeting! First round ends 26th June!

It had been a while since the pack had gathered for an official meeting, there had been celebrations and other occasions to bring them together though it seemed that the lack of official order as of late had driven many of the pack into quite the poor state. It was time to change all of that, to encourage them to get themselves sorted out, progressing for themselves and for the good of the pack.

Step one of that was as simple as holding a meeting, the issues could be addressed then and plans set in motion. With Frith at her side, Novella led the way to their usual meeting point and together they would summon the pack. Then all that was left to do was wait and hope that they all arrived promptly.

After having a recent discussion with her father, she knew it wouldn't be long before her parents set their plans into place. When was the last time they had all formally gotten together? They had, of course, seen each other out and about at the last festival, but that wasn't a proper meeting. She hoped the rest of the pack weren't still recovering from the festivities; her paws were itching for responsibilities and a chance to be active once more. It all started with a pack meeting, and so she would take herself there.

She held unusual eagerness in the way she confidently trotted into their familiar gathering grounds, being unsurprisingly, the first to arrive. Greeting her parents with a smiling nod and "hello", she took a seat close by and began to crane her neck to search through the trees for the rest of Threar. Miksa was the one she was most looking forward to arriving as she was rather curious to see how he had settled since they had last spoken. Recalling her encounter with the young male, she was certain the Authors would explain his role and duties if he still happened to feel lost. And so, she would wait.

Summons. A call to Threar for all to attend. The call of Novella was familiar... welcome. Félicien would breathe in, rising from where he lay. His mind was on his new rank -- Mystery of the pack. Féli would do his best to show he was worthy of the rank. Frith saw him fit for it so he had to be. The young man would begin to walk, head held high.

He had not spoken to many recently... but he would. Sorrel for one was someone he wanted to speak with. Too long, Féli thought, had gone without them speaking.

Sorrel, and hardly anyone else, had arrived when he did. Novella and Varda... that was it. He would tip his head to both as he sat. "Hello."

It had been a while since the pack had been gathered for anything. Aslan took that quiet period to be off on his own devices which had led to a few more meetings with the mountain lion, some how they kept crossing paths and truthfully even Aslan himself wasn't entirely certain if this was purely accidental or something one of them were doing on purpose.

As the call rang out for Threar, the dark coloured male was quick to move, making his way across Threar's lands to attend the meeting. The first one in a while, he certainly didn't want to be late. And it seemed with plenty more members of the pack still not present, he was not. Greeting his parents, cousin and sister, he'd take a seat by the latter to wait for the meeting to begin.

Frith wouldn't hesitate in following his wife as she emerged from the den and led the way to the clearing. He'd nuzzle her lovingly before lifting his head and calling the pack with her. His voice harmonized with her own and he enjoyed their calling for the moments they sent it out. All too soon she would lower her head and Frith would follow, his haunches coiling beneath him as he rocked back into a seat. His two elder children and Feli were the first to arrive. "Hello," he'd greet them all with a nod as they took their place. The rest of the pack would soon be their and the plans they had would be set in motion. There was much to be discussed at this meeting. This was also a good time to gauge and see who was really still around and who had disappeared into the world once more.

The young Destruction boy was scarce within the pack, keeping to himself in order to further his examination of the world. The mostly pale boy would hear a call from his mother, making his ears perk up. A pack meeting? He was nearly a year old and this brought with him hope of starting his life as an adult. He would be swift to respond, letting out a soft call of acknowledgement before running towards the source of the sound. Eventually, Fate would arrive in front of his family and he would dip his head. “Hi mom! Hi dad!” He would call out before dipping his heads towards his siblings whom had gathered.

When the howl reached her ears she wasn't sure if she moved toward it because she genuinely wanted to or if it was purely on reflex. When she had joined the pack she had given herself such lofty goals with what she wanted to learn and all the wolves she wanted to meet, but she hadn't even started working toward any of those goals really. She hadn't spoken to a single member of this pack since the day she joined and so far there hadn't been an activity that she could take part in. She had attended the festival, but no one had spoken to her and she couldn't exactly spar, at least not yet, and she knew if she tried to participate in some large hunting party she would only be in the way. Unless she had missed it there had been no training in healing since she joined and that was the only thing she could see herself feasibly having any skill in.

She sighed as she followed the sound of the howl and sniffed the air for any signs of the scents of the other wolves that would be coming to the meeting. She had learned the layout of the pack lands pretty well, but she still traveled a good bit slower than the other pack members probably could. Her paws searched the ground ahead of her as she walked to ensure that she didn't run face first into a tree or large rock or some other obstacle. Finally she started to pick up on the scents of several wolves... and while she realized that there wasn't nearly as many as she thought there would be, as she got closer she realized that all of their scents had some sort of similar undertone to them. Were all of them related? She was almost positive they were. Suddenly feeling like even more of an outsider than before she settled onto her haunches a few feet back from the group, holding herself carefully as to not give away how uncomfortable and out of place she was feeling. She forced the tension out of her shoulders and kept her expression exquisitely smooth and passive.

Walk | Talk | Think

The call for the pack to gather filled the boy with a sudden sense of dread. He hardly felt like he had been doing enough to pay back the kindness this pack had given him when they had welcomed him into their midst, and the thought of facing them with nothing under his belt to speak of on his behalf made him feel like a useless lump. Miksa hesitated as the call finished ringing on the air, but in the end he knew he would go. Not showing would have spoken even worse about his character than everything else, and even if he might have been a poor contributor to the pack he at least knew he could own up to it.

His head was low and his brilliant yellow eyes downcast when he approached the group. In little quick upward glances he assessed the group, spotting Frith and the children that had collected him from the northern lands. Miksa gazed at Varda just a bit longer than the rest, recalling her efforts in drawing him out, but deciding not to bother her with his self-perceived failure he chose to find himself a lonely little piece of the meeting ground where he would bother no one. There he sat, still sneaking little glances up and over at Frith and the white wolf beside him, presumably his mate and the mother of Varda and Aslan, while he waited for things to begin.

Frost would hear the howl calling the pack to a meeting, she hadn’t remembered having a pack meeting before sure there were gatherings but not an official meeting. The female would slowly make her way to where the howl had come from, as she entered the clearing she could see that a good amount of the pack had already arrived. There were at least two wolves that she hadn’t seen before, she really needed to start interacting with the pack more. She felt guilty that she hadn’t been doing much for the pack of recent, she had just taken to lazing around and hunting only for herself. It seemed more like the behavior of a loner than a pack member, she would take a seat behind the majority of the group.

Sorrel had liked the peace and quiet lately. Time away from his brother hadn't been quite so appreciated but the space of time without forced meetings and gatherings had certainly been a pleasant change of pace. Now suddenly that was apparently coming to an abrupt end. Ellingham urged him onwards though the owl's words wouldn't hurry him, Sorrel would attend, but in his own time. Whether to give into the slow pace or fly off ahead Ellingham couldn't decide though settled on sticking close to his companion in the end and eventually the pair arrived together, settling down silently towards the back of the little gathering. He had spotted Féli, but his twin was too close and too surrounded for Sorrel's liking.

ooc: Next round ends 3rd July!
More information found here

One by one the pack would begin to arrive. A few greetings here and there which she would respond to but for the most part they quietly awaited whatever she and Frith had to say. Sorrel as usual trailed behind, so often amongst the last to arrive she often wondered if the boy purposefully hid to wait and watch others before joining meetings and gatherings himself.

"Hello Threar" She began with an simple greeting for them all to officially start the meeting. "It has been a while since we have all gathered, and I'm glad to say I can start this meeting with some good news." With a small smile her gaze fell to Félicien to announce his news. "Félicien has recently been promoted to one of our Plot ranks, so he now holds the title of Mystery" She hoped he would chose to organise a hunt or some sort of lesson of sorts to celebrate this new rank, all organisation of it would be left up to him though she and Frith would of course help him if he needed it.

"I hope you're all inspired by this progress, there are of course other promotions available after all." Hopefully they would take the carrot and begin to work hard now, she truly wanted to see the activity rising in Threar and the wolves helping each other and rising through the ranks. "I know we have all been a little idle as of late, I hope to see that changing, as there may be demotions for those that fail to contribute." Though she certainly didn't want to take such actions, her voice was serious now. They needed to change, to help each other and become more of a pack.

Fate was quick to fall in, and as he greeted them Frith would attempt at nuzzling the boy as he flew by him. Already he was close to his full size, and Frith couldn't believe how quickly he and his sister had grown. He'd see Kalli come in behind him, the young she wolf would sit near the edge of the group. He hadn't seen a whole lot of her since she'd joined but he still wished to greet her. "Welcome, Kalliope." He'd call out to her since she couldn't exactly see his nod. He'd smile at Miksa as he came in sat down and glanced towards the alphas. Frost and Sorrel would bring up the rear. He hadn't seen as much food from Frost, and he was more than disappointed at her performance, but with Feli as the new Mystery he hoped she would get more of a work out.

As it seemed like they'd recieved all they were going to get he would stand up a little straighter as Novella spoke. She told them of their plans, of Feli's promotion and how they wished to give more of those promotions out. Frith would nod, he wished to fill their higher ranks and with their oldest children coming on to their second birthdays it seemed about time to give them more responsibility anyway. "I can't speak for Feli, but I hope he'll hold a pack hunt soon. While I will be calling for a bit of spar training once we are done here. I encourage all of you to attend!"

Kalliope's ears shot up when Frith greeted her by name and a real smile stretched across her muzzle as she gave a small dip of her head in his direction. That's all she really needed, just to be noticed. She realized that it was a little sad to be so happy about one wolf saying hello to her, but it really did break her out of the tense, depressed funk she had been stuck in, even if just for a moment. A few more wolves came in and she did notice that two of them lacked that family scent the others did. While she was still outnumbered she at least wasn't alone any more and that helped too even though she still didn't know a single wolf here aside from Frith.

Then Novella began to speak and her head turned in her direction while she listened. A promotion was announced and that they should be 'inspired' by it. Kalliope's heart sank a little when she thought of the fact that it was very possible she would forever hold the rank she had now. What made it worse was when Novella spoke of demotions if the activity didn't pick up. Kalli's ears flicked back against her skull uncertainly. It wasn't that she didn't want to give back to this pack that had given her a home, it's that she honestly didn't know how. She couldn't fight, she could hunt just well enough to maybe catch herself a rabbit or other small game, and while she wanted to learn how to heal she honestly didn't know who to ask for help.

Frith spoke of a pack hunt and starting up a spar training when the meeting was over. She sighed and her shoulders drooped. Here they went again. Hunting and fighting. She should just go to back to her den... no, no. She stopped herself. Frith had been nothing but kind to her since she showed up at his borders. She owed it to him to at least attend his training. She sighed again and once he left to start the spar training she would follow.

After the arrival of the rest of Threar, which amongst the gathered wolves she could only find one unfamiliar face, her mother formally commenced the meeting. A promotion was announced, only for her cousin. She shot a curt glare at the newly appointed Mystery, the position that she had been considering for the future. Beneath the envious jealousy that she felt over the promotion was definitely some acknowledgment for the achievement. Really, she had to step up her game, just as it was explained throughout the meeting. The speech was rather quick, although the pack hadn't been quite active as of lately so that was probably a contributing factor. However, the Author still communicated her main message clearly - the pack needed to progress further or members risked getting demoted. In her mind, the message was interpreted as an opportunity to prove her skills to her parents and rise in the ranks. Already, she was one step ahead of everyone else as she had recently spoken with her father about how she could contribute to the pack more with her hunting. Whilst she idly sat with, her thoughts were buzzing with plans and goals. Her eyes were locked unwaveringly on nothing else but the prize: a promotion.

In a short manner of time the meeting would progress. There was no sign of Tac, but at least Sorrel faithfully showed. Félicien would lift his head some, feeling pride at being mentioned at holding one of the higher ranks. It was an honor, though he wasn’t fully comfortable with the idea yet he was sure it was just a matter of time before it grew on him. In time he would get better, just like all wolves did. Perhaps he would settle into the roll like one settled into a second skin.

Frith would speak, mentioning spars, as well as mentioning hoping that he would hold a hunt soon. At this Féli would pipe up, his voice holding an edge of nervousness. “But of course! I’ll be holding a lesson of sorts for the more inexperienced hunters followed by some practice. Feel free to attend regardless of your skill however! I’ll try and make it enjoyable for everyone.” He was definitely going to attend the spars as well. He had some skills to sharpen, that was for sure!

"Listen to me talk," 'but read my thoughts.'

Frost noticed that only one wolf appeared after she did, she didn’t realize that she had been as late as she had. She would turn her head to look at her as the female Alpha began to speak. After greeting the pack she would announce the promotion of a wolf named Felicien, Frost would look around at the other wolves she wondered who he was. Eithier way she assumed she would find out if the pack held another hunt, this was the position that should have been hers by now. After this the female would state that this should inspire the rest of them, Frost wasn’t sure about any of the others, but at least for her she was inspired at least a little bit more than she had been. She certainly didn’t want a demotion as the she-wolf would later mention, she was pretty sure that probation was as low as it got and she didn’t want to find out whatever was lower than that.

Ranks had never seemed to shift too much within Threar, with such a small number of wolves perhaps in some ways it had never seemed necessary to move them up and down so much but something had apparently sparked a shift in his mother's view on the matter. He wasn't sure if his parents would demote him, nor did he really wish to take any chances in the matter, a helpful lad he had always enjoyed assisting his parents where he could, even organising that hunt of his own once. He hadn't aspired for the Mystery position himself though, the act had been purely for his own experience and to get the pack together. He would sit quietly as other little announcements continued, his father's plans for sparring and Féli's plans for a hunt. Although he liked to think of himself as a little more on the experienced side, Aslan would heed his cousin's words and planned on turning up when they were called.

Félicien had been promoted? Well Sorrel was even more glad now that he had chosen to sit at the back, keeping fully out of that spotlight as his aunt and uncle announced the newly titled Mystery. Sorrel of course had no plans to rise beyond Epilogue within the ranks, to be honest he'd even settle for staying exactly where he was as long as he could be ignored and simply continue to improve his craft in his own way without having to worry about the rest of the pack. Isolation suited him just fine, though he was certainly leaning a little towards attending his brother's hunt purely to support his twin.

So people are welcome to leave the meeting from this post, no more rounds.

It seemed that Frith shared her hopes that Féli would organise a little hunt or something with his new rank, only opted to be more vocal with those wishes, announcing his own plans at the same time for some fight training for the rest of the pack. With Legend's disappearance it had been too long since they had had any fight training and Novella got the impression that the joint training with Abaven had been postponed for some reason. It was good of them to have some lessons of their own in the mean time.

Following Frith's prompts, Féli would announce his plans to hold a little hunting session, his voice wasn't exactly the loudest or most confident just yet though she had faith that he would adjust to the new responsibility. It would do him good she felt, he had after all got himself stuck in a little bit of a rut earlier in the year though now surely had that sense of usefulness and would soon find his feet when it came to leading these events.

"I hope to see you attending these sessions." Novella addressed the rest of the pack, whether they felt it was their area of expertise or even an area that didn't interest them she was sure it would be useful for them all. "Unless anyone else has something they wish to speak to us about, then you may all leave now."
