The winter season was coming to an end very soon, Deivad could feel it in the air, see it in the lands. The cold temperatures were slowly rising with each day, becoming coolly warm then dropping suddenly for a few days, not ready t give way to spring just yet. It was probably one of the man's favorite times of the year, the transition from season to season, being able to see how the land morphs and what the animals of various species do to adapt. It was particularly nice knowing that the blizzards would be coming to an end for some time, giving his poor body and eyes a rest.

For now the man was just resting in a cluster of pines, laying atop of pile of branches the wolf managed to break off from the lower portion of already dying trees. Why waste perfectly good branches on a healthy tree? It had to of been about midday at the moment, so Deivad would look to only spend a few more minutes here before moving on with his journey, and within the next few days head back to the group and see how everyone was doing or hear any thoughts they had to voice to him.

The male was only just getting used to the cold, and as soon as he thought he was it would be warming up soon. The feeling of snow was starting to melt between his paws, the amount that had been there yesterday had gone down. Howling winds also becoming farther and farther nothing but a distant memory to him and his wolf brethren. Jack stopped once he scented another male not far from here, his head turning towards that direction. Using his ears to hear the sounds of his own paw steps into the snow. His nose leading him to what seemed to be an average sized male near the tree's.

He was laying on a bunch of pine needles, his head following him up and down even if those white glossy eyes saw nothing. He imagines sharp point things in his head, with a wolf laying on them. The feel must of have been nice, squishy even. As Jack let a small smile show on his face. His face turning up to what seemed like the sky. "No clouds today." He inquired, there was no scent of moisture in the air. Therefore, the sky was clear.

Jade green eyes followed a wolf that came in from the plains, body remaining relaxed as it quickly appeared that this would be a friendly stranger, either just passing by or looking for a bit of company while staying in the area. While he made his way over, Deivad would take time to take note of his appearance in case something might happen, whether friendly or not. This wolf was dark coated with grey on his ears, face, paws and entire tail. Eyes squinted as he tried to make out his side, and when he was closer, looking up to the sky he would be able to tell that this wolf was older and larger than himself.

"Nope, I'm done with the storms for a little while." He chuckled, speaking to the stranger in friendly and laid back tones. Clearing his throat, Deivad would sit up a bit more proper so that he could look and speak to the wolf, flashing a friendly smile, even if he couldn't see it. "Passing through, friend?" He asked, both questioning the man's intentions here and if he was friend or foe. It didn't hurt to ask, even if an enemy would lie at first. The man liked to think he could tell if someone was lying or not, that he was able to know what a person was like just within the first few minutes of talking to them.

Jack's ears twitched to the sound of the strangers voice, pulling his head into the direction of the noise. It would make it seem like he made eye contact, though anyone could tell those glossy eyes were without sight. Looking perhaps beyond the other male, as if unable to focus on anything. A small chuckle leaving his own throat after he mentioned the storms. Indeed, when he had first arrived he had heard the winds, felt the snow pattering against his fur. Though passing through, he shook his head to that.

"My name is Jack Stone, I take residence up in Sonticus. If you've heard of them." a small grin showed up on his face. It was nice to meet a friendly wolf. After all, he was sick and tired of running into those who had no clue what they were doing. His tail flicked a little, what was the other doing here though? "What about you? Just passing through?" he asked.

Head tilted to the side when the man spoke, smirking at his head shake. It didn't mean too much if the stranger was on a mission or not, as long as it had nothing to do with keeping an eye on loners for something bad and such. He spoke however, giving his name, Jack Stone, and explaining how he was taking up residence in Sonticus, asking if he heard of them. Deivad would think about it for a moment, gaze going off to the side in thought. The name sounded familiar and he was sure he had heard it just recently. Hm... Oh yes! “Sonticus.” He said aloud, giving a small nod of his skull. “I heard about it from a young woman, I believe she was the Alphess and had a limp to her leg.” He explained, looking back to the man.

For now he would take it as that was what Jack was doing, just making his way back home to the packlands. Was it a ship the female said they took residence in? He couldn't recall exactly. The male's purpose was asked this time, the stranger asking if he was passing through. “Eeeeeh,” he groaned, stretching out his forelegs before sitting back up, attention back on the man. “Something like that, trying to learn the lay of the land for my family. We're looking for a nice place to settle.” Deivad smiled at his mission, taking pride in doing this for his friends and family, feeling like he was conquering something and leading them to a new and better life.
