After his fight with the lion, Sin had emerged victorious but with a price. His face had deep scratches from the cats claws that no matter what, would scar. The wound bled, though not as profusely as when it had initially happened. They were also irritating, the wound stretched from above his left eye to below his right eye. Clearly across his face. The thought of having scars wouldn't bother him, it would make him appear all the more fierce in the future.

His body ached as he traveled back to the north lands, bruises and cuts stinging with the salty wind as he drew closer to the shore. He sought the sea water, and once he reached it he immediately slid his body into it and winced as the salt stung his wounds, but as soon as it subsided the water would begin to numb the pain he began to feel.

Kassander and Rommel had gone off alone again, this time to make the effort to explore the northern lands they were to call 'home' now. He wasn't expecting to find any sort of healing herbs on this expedition, because it was entirely too far north and too early in the spring yet for there to be anything growing up here. Lichen and wintergreen would probably be the extent of it and he didn't really need either of those things. Today was just an exercise in curiosity. Rommel ranged out away from him, the tactically-minded vulpine on the lookout for dangers but close enough to hear Kassander if he got himself into trouble. Chances are he wouldn't see the fox much on the journey unless something came up - Rommel would continue to scout out away from him in a circular pattern even if Kass stopped to investigate something.

So it was a bit of a surprise for Kassander to come up on the fox sitting beside a pillar of strange black rock with his head cocked, staring out over a black sand beach. It looked... weirdly tropical considering it was the north. "Rommel?" he queried, stepping closer. "What's wr - " He stopped abruptly, his gaze finally falling on what had the fox's attention. A white male, fur stained with blood and obvious fresh wounds dotting his form, limp in the water. Without another word the healer sprang forward. He'd pull them out of the water, see if they were breathing. He had a theory that he could bring someone back from drowning by breathing for them, but it wasn't exactly proven. He'd get them breathing if he could and then warm them up before he worried about the wounds...

Reaching the male's side he sought to fasten his teeth in the scruff of his neck to drag him out of the water - caught in his initial assumption and oblivious for the moment to the fact that the male was conscious and had laid in the water deliberately.

He lied still for a time as the water numbed his pain. The sting of salt was no longer felt. He closed his eyes, welcoming the relief as he thought about the fight. He had emerged victorious for the second time, against a cat much larger and who should have been stronger then he was. But the big ' ol pussy cat just couldn't handle him he guessed.

Releasing an inaudible sigh, he hadn't scented the newcomer as he charged towards him. His back was to the beach after all, and all he could smell was the bitter tang of blood and salt and ocean. But the moment he felt something grabbing at him, he immediately jumped to his feet, fur bristling and teeth baring as he whipped around. His posture could be compared to an angry cats, for he had been taken by surprise. He didn't know if this was some sort of surprise attack or maybe even an ambush, but he wouldn't put it past someone to try. Especially since the wolf smelled of a pack.

"Who are you?" He demanded a name, the male taking a threatening step towards the boy as he awaited an immediate answer lest fur went flying. And as injured as he was, he still had plenty of fight in him.
