Come and Go

Imperium didn't seem to have much happening and Esti had a bit of downtime between her training and spars. She felt like she was getting stronger, she could feel the way her muscles were tightening  under her skin and in the way her bulk seemed to be... bulkier. With her downtime, Esti found herself patrolling the borders. She had made it considerably far when she stopped at the river on the edge of the range for a drink and a short rest. Looking across the river, Esti thought about the willows where she grew up. She thought about Titania and Dusk and Winter, wondering where they could have been. She was young, but she probably shouldn't have ran off like that. she expected Dusk to come find her and come bring her home, but she realized that had been childish. Esti always felt like going back to the willows, just for a little bit. Even though she had Imperium now, she felt like the willows were her first home. If any wolf decided to claim it for their pack lands, Esti felt like she would have to fight them for it. Ashmedai had been begging to see the lands where she had ruled as the unofficial princess. Maybe now that it was Spring, Esti would take him there, just to show him the lands. It was something to think about, but for now, Esti had a border to patrol. Hauling herself up, Esti continued her steady trot across the border, wondering if anyone else was about.
