Perhaps it was the sight of his newborn children, or the fact that he could walk without much pain, but he decided to come back. Gaia was safe at home, his children had yet to open their eyes, it was not like he was missing too much. Right? There was a sense of guilt in the new father, but he would have to swallow that. For now, he needed to train, he needed to get stronger. Shaking his head to clear away the doubt and the guilt he trotted his way to a quiet part of the arena. It was a...rather inactive day, but he liked the distance anyways. The terrain was pleasant, very few rocks and less grass. It was oddly...clear for such a grassy terrain. He sighed happily as he spun in a circle, fresh and ready. Tilting his head upwards he'd glance around, searching for someone that could be an opponent for him. With a shrug he'd sit in his spot just staring around and relaxing for a moment, waiting for someone to show before he sighed. Oh Voltage was impatient, a second felt like an hour, especially now he needed to be productive because it was time away from his children. So he lifted his muzzle to the sky and howled for an opponent, for someone to come and train with him. Fidgetting, he stood, deciding to use his time to set his stance. Perhaps not fully, because how silly would that be. He rolled his shoulders slightly, tensing his back before relaxing with a sigh, stretching slightly as he waited.

For some reason,  Áki felt the night to practice his fighting lately. Though not exactly a warrior at heart, he had grown accustomed to brawling with the members of his former tribe and having not done so for awhile left him wanting. He was content to practice and to hone his skills, for survival was of utmost importance.  With this in mind, he found himself wandering toward the Battlefield once again, this time less surprised at the awful stench of this place. He hardly had to waste any time before another call rang out -- someone else searching for an opponent to practice against. His paws would carry him quickly to where the man stood, his pace slackening as the stranger came into view.

Though a bit smaller than him, he seemed like he'd make a fine opponent. He knew size didn't mean everything and it was immediately apparent that this man was likely much faster than he was, while he possessed more brute strength.  His movements were slow as he moved to stand directly before his opponent, tusked head dipping in a slow nod. "You seek a fight?" he would ask, his movements slow as he raised his head to face Voltage, making no sudden movements to indicate he might strike preemptively. "My name is Áki. Perhaps you'd like to make the first move?"
