LÆRKE FINNVI

Lærke's soul felt like it was bubbling over with... something. Her paws itched for some sort of righteous combat, anything to try and make sense of everything that had happened to her. For all her life, she'd never been able to find peace except for exhausting herself, physically and mentally, and nothing accomplished that like combat. She'd followed the scent of blood back to the barren land she'd first met Katja, hoping to find some sort of... something. Guilt gnawed at her for not bringing Lynd along, but she hadn't quite known where she was headed until she arrived. Now, standing there alone, she was beginning to feel a bit silly. She did not know this lands traditions or laws. Should she call out for just anyone, then? Lærke sighed, opting instead to sit and glare at the foreign landscape. She almost wished for her mother, she almost wished for home, except she wasn't a child anymore and she was willing to face this lot in life head on. But... perhaps in her own time.

Her wandering paws had carried her to the battlefield, not exactly an uncommon occurrence for the viking warrior. But what was interesting, was the scent on the wind as she moved silently through the land. Laerke, her... niece. Telling Auora's children the circumstances of their mother's death, relieving those moments had not been easy, but she was soothed by what had come of her sister's death. Coming upon her dark-coated niece, Katja silently tilted her head to the side to regard her as she seated herself beside the other wolf, and held her peace for a time. She knew so little of Auora's children or... children in general, though it was certain that they were by no means pups. Adults in their own right, raised in a tradition so close to the Finnvi tradition, though... different. And it was that difference that, for that brief moment, held her tongue. But after a moment... Her voice was quiet and firm, matter of fact though with a hint of questioning as she asked the woman, "Would you battle me if I asked it, Laerke Finnvi?"
