I Don't Wanna

She was big, bigger than she had even been even when she had been well fed. Her pups, her children would come soon, but Hani couldn't help but worry. What would happen to the pups of a thrall? She wasn't sure. That man had slept with her. He was her first, and yet, he had kidnapped her and brought her to this pack. Had that been his plan all along? Again, Hani couldn't be sure.
A pain brought the woman to her senses. No. No no no. She couldn't have her pups. Not yet! Hani grit her teeth to avoid making noises. There was no telling who was close by. She didn't want them to know . If she was having her pups now, she didn't want the others to know.
Her stomach felt like it was twisting and turning. This was not how she imagined having her first litter, or any litter for that matter. She tried to keep quiet as she labored. Pain came in waves through her body. Eventually the pup would come, though not easily. It was large for a pup. Was that normal? After it was out, she cleaned it by instinct and it found it's way to her side. The pain began to subside, but maybe it would come back... Hani hoped it wouldn't come back.

Stóri quickly, suddenly, found himself in a new world. He did not protest too much, offering short grunts and cries when his mother cleaned him. He settled quickly to nursing, finding the milk by scent. The chocolate boy was oblivious to the circumstances of his birth and oblivious to the future that awaited him. He moved and reacted by instinct, with little to no thought, blind and deaf to the world. For now, at least, he would nurse and find comfort in his mother's presence and warmth. He would sleep and eat with little thought for some time before slowly but surely being exposed to the world he was born into.

It was no sound, but the scent of blood and birth that had drawn Katja to the area. She stood a ways back as the woman labored, far enough away and downwind to keep her presence unknown. She was there to observe, not to interfere, and she made no effort to fetch Kassander or Warja either. If the child was worth saving, it would survive its birth without assistance, and she had little care for the thrall who birthed it.
A single large pup finally born to suckle upon the proffered teat, and Katja cast her gaze over it critically. The wet, blurred colors upon the puppy-pelt resembled the mother more than anything - there was little to see of Finnvi in the creature, though it seemed to have inherited Laufey's size if nothing else.
Once she had judged the thrall unlikely to attempt to kill the pup, she turned to leave once again. She would inform Laufey of the birth of the child, and he would choose whether to accept it or not. If he did they would sprinkle it with water, he would name the child, and it would become Finnvi. It would be taken from the thrall and the thrall would become nursemaid when the pup was hungry, but would be no mother to it. They would not allow her to contaminate a Finnvi child with weak Alacratia culture as too many had already. And if Laufey did not wish to claim the child as his... they would have another thrall.
