Aláwo had decided that the Northern lands of Alacritia were simply not the place she needed or wanted to be. It had taken a number of attempted ventures and some close calls with the strange natives there, you couldn't say that she hadn't tried. Of course there wasn't actually any escaping the Northern wolves, they had now begun to spread into the South but it was here she decided that she stood the greatest chance of survival. This was familiar terrain to her, she had grown up in the South and as well as offering her any advantages it gave her a sense of comfort and safety that the North simply couldn't provide.

Here in the Southern lands there was also a stronger chance of hearing her native tongue, though this was a fact she hadn't been aware of immediately. When she had first heard some familiar words spoken she had thought herself dreaming, she'd felt isolated for so long that she'd begun to think anyone who spoke the Yoruba language had vanished off the face of the earth. It wasn't a dream though soon soon discovered and whilst it wasn't another former tribal wolf it was still a new found friend. Niyara had certainly aided in keeping her sane.

Wolf and bird were rarely seen apart now, those days of separation more for Niyara's benefit than Aláwo's. They were together now though as they ventured forever wandering the lands. Although she now had the parakeet as a companion and was very grateful for Niyara's company, there were indeed still moments that Aláwo longed for her own kind once more. Each time she picked up a scent, she hoped desperately that it might belong to another former member of the Tahtla though trails grew stale and she never found them.

Their path today had brought them through the God's Garden. With no hopeful trails to follow, Aláwo moved at a steady pace around the ruins and overgrown collection of herbs. Niyara was quite comfortably settled upon the wolf's back for the moment, watchful eyes still taking interest in the sights around them.

It wasn't necessarily true that Tally was adventurous, she rather liked staying close to her family and her friends, especially wraith. But something about today sang to her. Go out, go out and see what's further out there! The trees seemed to whisper this to the earthen girl, their voice whispering enticing adventures that might just put her boredom out of her mind for the time being. Perhaps out here she would have her answer, her destiny settled somewhere in the unknown, wrapped up in a perfect little bow. Somewhere out there...it had to be, because she had already exhausted her mind in her boring days. So she went out, moving through the trees and the thick growth of the southern continent. She was at home here, though she never knew anything else. Every tree, every plant, they were her friends. It was something about nature that called to her, yet it never clicked that might be her answer.

No, instead, she trotted through the ruins, her golden eyes alight with happiness. It was beautiful here, and she wondered why she had never come here before! The rocks that scattered around had a story, they must! The growth growing around them spoke of age, so old that no one she knew alive would know of this place before nature took it in its clutches. It was odd, mysterious, and she was alive with curiousity. She ambled through the garden, humming a gentle song as she did with a grin plastered across her face, so far into her wonder that she failed to notice the stranger that was here also.

For a while Aláwo allowed herself to be wrapped up in the peace and tranquillity of the land as well, a good day it seemed she was happy in her calm isolation rather than feeling too worried and lonely by it. On her back however Niyara was still being more attentive and would soon catch sight of the other wolf wandering through the lands and for a moment she would study the individual who it would seem was oblivious to having company here. "Aláwo. Wo, nibẹ ni miran Ikooko. Niyara warned her company softly.

It had been a while since Aláwo had seen another of her kind and certainly even longer still since she had found one that she could trust. She would find herself tensing at Niyara's words even before her own gaze shifted to fall upon the other wolf. To no surprise it wasn't a figure that she recognised, from here she had no way of knowing whether it was a Northerner invading the Southern lands or a similarly lost soul like herself she would grow wary all the same however, preparing herself for the worst rather than optimistically hoping for the best.

Her excitement felt like energy electrifying through her system, causing her to almost dance among the stones. She moved with such exuberance, it was easy to tell that Tally lived a very carefree and happy lives. Her worries of the future aside, she really was very carefree and happy. She lived a gyspsy's life, dancing around from place to place with a smile on her lips. As she gazed at the stones, her eyes alight with life and wonder at the stories being told, she caught the brief but soft sounds of someone nearby. Bright yellow eyes would quickly turn, wondering who had followed her now, before she blinked. Her smile suddenly faded and her eyes grew wide. "Oh." She said softly, standing stock still as she stared at the stranger. It was not so much that she was scared, no. Infact she rather liked strangers (unlike Wraith). Most of her good friends had once been strangers, but this had surprised her. She had expected Mithras or Kati or Wraith, not someone new with a bird clinging to them. She swallowed slightly and smiled softly, taking a step forward. "H-hello?" She called over the short distance between them, wondering if they were friendly. If they weren't she should have enough time and distance to disappear into the deep brush of the southern continent. Her furs could be used as camouflage, right?

Vitality may have liked meeting new people but Aláwo didn't share her enthusiasm in that particular area. Socialisation in general was not the dark female's strong point to be perfectly honest and in the past year it had gotten a lot worse. Niyara would perhaps help, though that had never been her intention when she opted to befriend the brightly coloured bird. "O n kan wipe Kaabo." Niyara translated, some words she was sure that the wolf must have picked up by now though she would offer her aid in the language barrier all the same.

"Emi ko bikita." Came Aláwo's blunt reply to the bird, green eyes still warily watching the other wolf. There was no sign of threat but you could never be too careful she always felt. Niyara however was a little more willing to give this wolf the chance, and would argue her case as to being far older and wiser than her canine friend if she had to. In her opinion it was about time that Aláwo gave some of her own species a chance again.

"O ti wa ni arínifín lati foju rẹ." Niyara informed her and didn't wait for any argument before twisting to look towards Vitality now. "Hello there. I'm afraid my friend here is a little shy." For now at least she would keep Aláwo's secret that she couldn't understand the other either.

Tally blinked over wide eyes as the other wolf looked at her before seeming to get into an argument with her...bird...friend, thing. Confusion crossed her face, but more so she was curious. This woman spoke to birds? And they spoke back? She was still mulling that over as they argued in a language she didn't understand, her eyes shifting between the bird and the darky colored wolf. She was rather used to be surrounded in language she didn't know. Well, no, that was an exaggeration. Natalia was the only one who spoke another language and she wasn't entirely "surrounded" by it. But it did mean she was kinda used to not knowing what other people were saying. So when the bird addressed her she blinked over wide eyes. "How...?" She whispered to herself. She had never seen a bird, or another animal that wasn't wolf speak. Sure she imagined it, often, but she was pretty sure that..wasn't real, right? Was this real? Her mind swam as she gazed at the two before she suddenly shook herself out of it, smiling weakly. "Oh." She said again, before she ducked her head down, her tail swishing slightly behind her in what she hoped was a more...gentle expression. "It's okay to be shy. I don't...umh..bite." She said with a gentle smile, tilting her head slightly then before she looked back at the bird. "If you don't mind. What language were you speaking? Just now? Also...how can you talk? This is real, right?"

Aláwo had no idea what Niyara said when she turned her attention to the stranger though she knew she didn't like it one bit, unless of course she was simply telling the other wolf to run along, perhaps then she would forgive her companion. As the other began to speak back in the same foreign words however, Aláwo began to suspect more and more that Niyara had begun a conversation with her. "Aṣiwere" Aláwo muttered coldly, the word aimed more at Niyara than the stranger though she didn't mind insulting her either at the moment.

"Aláwo jẹ dara, yi Ikooko ni." Niyara scolded her, one thing she certainly needed to work on was teaching the wolf manners, thank the Gods that she didn't speak English, she'd likely get herself into plenty of trouble if she did.  Aláwo scoffed and muttered something else under her breath though Niyara chose to ignore her and look towards the other wolf again.

"Yoruban. Aláwo here can't actually speak anything else, she's not meaning to be rude by not responding. " Of course that was a little bit of a lie but if she could help her companion at all then she was going to try anything. "And yes, this is real. I can indeed talk, my name is Niyara."
