Large black paws carried Bronze's son beneath the hot of the sun. The season had just recently changed now that the search for his parents and Steel was actually on. It made for much more uncomfortable travel, but with the plentiful season came plentiful food. He was tracking a young antelope and it found its way into the labyrinth that was the swirling curvy caves and crevices. His golden marked features were lowered to shoulder level as he loped over the terrain after his intended quarry. He'd been gone for a long few hours now, and he wondered briefly if Canta had followed after him. At this point he would have been grateful for any help. Speech,

The turn of the summer had brought with it some misery. The heat of the day made travel less than friendly and her own heat was making her irritable. Of course she wasn’t the only one who was experiencing this, her sister and sister-in-law were also clearly in the full path of the turn of the season… This did little to help her right now though as she was wrapped up in her own thoughts. Probably the last thing that was making her miserable was the hunger, it had been some time since they had had a proper hunt.  Mercury had left some time ago and finally impatience and the restlessness kicked in and the monochrome woman tracked him down. He seemed to be struggling with an antelope and without announcing herself to him she skirted wide around the pair, putting on as much speed as she could she charged back in towards the fleeing prey, trying to herd it back towards him or to cut it off. Speech, Goodness Gracious Great Balls of Fire, Thank you Nine!

He'd follow after the creature as it made its way into the natural formation, before his dark form slipped into an entrance he'd catch Canta out of the side of his vision. Smiling darkly he'd continue his pursuit of the long legged animal. As he raced forwards keeping sight of his quarry would become increasingly difficult, finding himself relying more heavily upon scent and sound with every step he took. Canta's attempt to drive it back towards his original pursuer would seem to work, as suddenly the creature leap back towards him. He'd half expected it to appear, but even with preparation his carefully timed leap would be insufficient. The horned beast would take in the sight of Mercury and leap above and to the right of where the golden marked wolf had sought his purchase. Stumbling slightly before recovering to its hooves the animal returned down the path Mercury had just been on. Growling in frustration the dark male turned quickly and again raced after his target. Speech,

It was with some satisfaction that she watched as the animal turned back towards Mercury and she did her best to close the gap further though not in time to stop it from once more fleeing the pair. With a growl she turned as sharply as she could to pound after the beast, which was doing a damn good job of weaving and dodging around the strange rock structures. As a brief straight stretch opened up before them Canta put on one last burst of speed, jaws opening wide and head tilting to the side to grasp at the beast’s back leg. Fangs closed around the antelope’s right rear leg and she dug in, sidestepping as best she could to avoid a kick from the remaining back leg and hoped Mercury wasn’t that far behind them. Canta came barreling after him as the buck jumped over his head, recovering just as fast his form would shoot off behind, right after Canta's leap. He still felt relatively fresh after having been tracking and chasing the creature for so long, but there was no doubt that Canta was feeling much more competent than himself. As she raced after their quarry it would make a fatal mistake as Canta's jaws wrapped around his leg. He wouldn't have time to think about her danger as he leaped closer. She barely avoided its kicking paws as Mercury came around the side to grab at the creatures neck. She had him slowed enough that Merc could go for such a vital area. He'd gain control of it's head, and slowly pull it down to the earth and he shoved his weight around. Speech,

Canta growled as she struggled to keep her grip on the animal’s limb, toes spreading and tail flagging out behind her as she did her best to remain stable which of course meant she had little space to move when the beast lashed out at her. She was aware of those intimidating horns and the brutal kicks. A hoof to the head would mean almost certain death and a strike to anywhere else would be some intense injuries if not some broken bones. It was lucky then that Mercury was right on her tail. A flash of dark fur streaked across her field of view and the stag began to shift. Fighting her less and subsuming to the weight of Mercury’s grip on its neck; Canta for her part took this opportunity to try and pull the animal down by shifting her weight away from Mercury. Dragging it’s back leg out to the opposite direction. As soon as it was down Canta released her grip to leap upon it, jaws parted to seek purchase elsewhere while using her weight to hold it down. Canta was struggling and Mercury would waste no time as he slipped between the creature and the walls as he reached for its neck. He'd achieve his target this time and his fangs took hold of the animal's throat. Eventually he'd pull it to the ground with Canta's help and she was then eager to react. He lingered at the neck, not wanting the creature to once again gain control of its head. The black Destruction perched herself upon it and they would hold it down together. He'd rethink his grip, putting a paw over the animals head as he repositioned his jaws over its wind pipe and eventually it would be suffocated. With the life gone from its form they could plunder the spoils. Speech,
