Night had fallen by the time they'd safely reached Imperium's borders.  Birna panted as she stepped safely over the line, turning to see that Valentine and Cascade were doing alright.  Not that she really needed to, no doubt they were probably still giddy from the blatant trespass into Sonticus territory.  Birna's mind was still whirling with everything that had happened and the stunning gaul that her ruling pair was unashamed to display… though she supposed… in a way they were right.  Her gaze turned back north, staring for a moment in stunned silence that they'd managed to pull it off.  They'd snuck into enemy territory, right into the packs den site, did as they pleased and left with no repercussions whatsoever.  They hadn't even been stopped at the border! Birna could not fully process how she was back home and uninjured but there was one thing that she needed to know.  The bear woman turned to the other two wolves.  "Well?  Rex, Ex Utor…. did you two find anything worth taking note of on that ship?" With her adrenaline finally starting to calm she found herself feeling not only a strange sort of satisfaction after the rush but renewed excitement as well.  Surely, suuuurelly Valentine and Cascade did more than screw on that ship.  Though, she suppose they had learned something regardless if her leaders found anything worth while.  The pack to the north was small, not vigilant and not a threat to Imperium.  All in all she was feeling much better about the venture if the others could just satisfy her curiosity. With a spring in his step Valentine crossed into Imperium territory. Throughout the trip home Valentine had stolen every possible opportunity to playfully harass Cascade. He was absolutely giddy and there was something about having a no nonsense third wheel that made him want to misbehave. If he thought he could get away with it he'd have done for more than just aiming nips at the swinging hips in front of him. Valentine had just started to stretch his neck out in preparation of another attempt at nipping when Birna started to turn around. Immediately he recoiled and by the time she was looking in his direction he was nonchalantly occupying only his own personal space and very clearly minding his own business. Her question caused his features to brighten. His tone warm as if he were talking of someone who had earned his affection, he said, "Indeed we did. There are valuable things in those tunnels; containers that hold food. If we brought them here we could store them somewhere and if something were to happen, say a disaster or a harsh season, we wouldn't have to worry about feeding the pack." Well, they wouldn't have to worry quite as much. ""
