The boy had followed his older brother on the promise of being taught how to hunt, what he was too naive to think about was the fact that he would have trouble learning without a guide. And that was precisely the dilemma he had. His older brother had told him to stay here, though little did he know that Enigma was screwing with him because of his blindness. Or maybe it was a test to see if he could find his way back home...fat chance of that ever happening. He sat in a clearing, birds calling out all around him, ears falling against his head as he crouched close to the ground. He was beyond nervous, fearful even. He had no idea where he was, and he wished that his mother or father were here...Enigma had told them he was taking him out on a hunting trip, and they believed him. Would they believe the pup if he told them what had happened? Most likely. That was if he ever found his way back.

With a small whimper, the boy crawled forward as he clumsily tested the grounds before him. It was much harder to navigate when you couldn't see what was in front of you, and the sounds of the many different birds frightened and confused him even more. The trail they had left behind was dispersing as birds flew by, muddling his scent with their own. Crawling along with his tail tucked, the boy would move in the hopes he was going in the right direction..

She really didn't understand what was going on with her parents or why they couldn't live in their home any more. There seemed to be so much stress around them for a while now and then this whole thing with a pack being in their home... She didn't understand it and she didn't like it. She was so close to her first birthday and she was beginning to wonder if anyone would even notice. Her littermate always seemed to be grounded and she didn't really know how to be with her older siblings either... She sighed as she padded through the Estuary.

She kept her eyes up toward the skies as her bright pink gaze followed the birds while they flew across the sky. She didn't see the pup that was inching his way across the ground till she had almost stepped on him since she wasn't watching where she was going. He was a really young pup, not like her since she was just a month or so away from being a year old. Why was he out here alone? And why was he walking like that? "Oh! I'm sorry! I wasn't watching where I was going! The birds are so distracting!" She crouched down so she was on his level since she was a good bit bigger than him. When she got closer she noticed the way his eyes didn't really focus on her and the slight cloudiness in his silvery gaze. It was something she was all too familiar with because of her father. "Oh, you're blind, right? My dad is blind. Why are you out here by yourself? My daddy is an adult and big and stuff and he still didn't go out on his own for a looooong time after he turned all blind."

He crawled along the ground, tail tucked and fur fluffed out as he moved. His heart pounced hard against hid chest, eyes stinging as he tried not to cry. Why did Enigma always do this? What made his older siblings hate them so much? He couldn't grasp it, and only wished that his mother was here to take him home. It was then that he uttered a yelp when he felt something touch him, causing him to curl up into a ball and wishing he could hide. The feminine voice fluttered through his ear fur as they slowly unfurled from their pinned position. She...sounded nice..

She went on to notice his blindness, the boy swallowing back his uncertainty as his fear threatened to overtake him. He slowly unfurled his head, gazing in the direction of the girls voice as he inhaled her scent. My...she smelled nice too, unless it was the scents of the birds, but he doubted it. "I-I'm lost...I didn't leave b-by myself.." He glanced around warily, ears flicking uncertainly as he kept crouched on the ground. This girl smelled different then he did, he hadn't gotten the chance to learn of everyone who resided in their new home. "I c-can't see...I'm S-scared! My brother l-left me h-here.. By now, he couldn't fight back the tears as he realized his predicament. He started to cry, wishing his brother wasn't so mean to him. Sobbing, he covered his eyes with his paws, scared and confused.

Báine frowned as she listed to the blue-hued pup's explanation. She couldn't imagine any of her siblings ever treating her like that! Siblings were supposed to protect and teach each other, not throw them out into the wilderness. Especially really young pups like him! She didn't even know this pup's brother and she already wanted to give him a stern talking to. "Well, that wasn't very nice of him at all!"

The moment the pup started crying her gaze softened and every protective instinct in her came to the surface. "Oh no, no, don't cry! It's going to be okay!" She carefully nosed his paws away from his face and gently licked away his tears. "It's okay, I'll get you home. I lead my dad around a lot, maybe I can teach you a few of the things he does to get around? He's gotten pretty good at it." She smiled hopefully and tried to gently nudge him to his paws. "Come on now, there's no need to be scared any more. I'm going to watch out for you. What's your name? Mine is Báine."

Little did he know that this was Enigma's way of showing tough love. But it didn't help him feel any better about his disability. The girls voice did help to soothe him. Ears flicked uncertainly when she called his brother a meanie, and although he agreed with her, he wanted to know why his brother did it. "Y-yeah he is s-sometimes." He sniffled as the tears fell. The girl reassuring him as she tried to calm him down. Reluctantly, he moved his paws from his face and let her lick away his tears.

He listened to her soft voice as she explained about her dad. He leaned towards her, trying to sniff at her pelt and gather her scent. It was all he could really do to get to know someone asides from talking. Looking towards where he figured her face would be, he tried to stop his tears as he sniffled, "You can help m-me? T-thank you." He was gaining a little confidence, listening to her speak and his tail wagged a little when she told him her name. Baine? That was a pretty name. "M-my name is Obscuro. It's nice to m-meet you."
