Lillianna was... annoyed. True, people had shown up for the hunt, but some of them acted as if the only reason they showed up was that you had to. In fact, Shaye's father didn't even have the courtesy to even announce his presence, when he did show up... late. This was a pack and the people here weren't acting very pack-like. They were acting more like a group of people who weren't family that were just sharing a territory with no bonds, no familiarity, a bunch of loners temporarily together. That is not a pack. That is not a family.

It showed in the broiling frustration in her eyes. No wonder Bass had a problem when he first arrived, same with Allen. But Allen hadn't been around much either, at least, not anyone she wanted to be near. She had seen them the other day, talking with Limno, but it was... a depressing conversation completely focused on the bad. Really? She understood, to a degree... but if all you are going to do is wander out on the rare occasion and bring everyone else down, you may as well not be there. He'd done that earlier, too, talking about someone named Hajime? She avoided him.

She wasn't really angry with him, though. She was frustrated with lots of people. People she rarely saw, only occassionally. What happened to the pack? What happened to the family? Why were people only caring about certain others? Seeming begrudged? A pack was not a group comprised of three seperate families sharing a territory and not speaking with the other parts of the family. A pack was one family, despite bloodlines.

It just seemed Abaven forgot that.

She'd sit there, over by the river, eyes searching the land around her. She was frustrated; beyond frustrated, and if it was the last thing she'd do, it'd be making Abaven a pack again. Her head tipped back and she howled: an invitation for all Abaven wolves to join her.

Oh, she was very pregnant. Any day now she would be squirming on the floor of the den, flinging herself around and screaming like a pup. But it didn't seem there were as many pups inside her. In fact, it only felt like one or two. Maybe three, at the most. It was just the motherly sense inside of her...she knew it was no more than three. She's been singing and talking to them over and over, whispering little things after quiet naps in the den. Even more than she did to her five current children when they were unborn. She'd tell them stories, start talking in Italian and secretly teaching them basic words. It was silly, but she loved them so dearly already.

But she was very fat, and she felt very...full. She was often dealing with the pain of their kicks and squirms, however many their were. Today it was rather peaceful, though. And she smelt someone familiar nearby. It wasn't Bass, no. It wasn't any of her children. It was...Lillianna. At first, she recoiled at the smell, the instant thought of Mirabelle striking her like a blow. But she remembered all the things the young girl has been going through. Being looked down at, thought of as reckless, her jaw...it was bad. And Wren couldn't help but feel sorry for her, even when she was moody and hormones were plaguing her like a sickness.

Wren made her way through the tall grass, following the echoes of her howl. She tipped her head back and returned the howl, before walking along, her steps unsteady and clumsy. Once she got there, she stared at the mini Mirabelle, frowning. She didn't look good. However she did not talk. The heavily pregnant woman just stood up beside the scarred girl and sat next to her, gazing down into the water.

ne had already arrived, and she could tell two things from the scent quite quickly: one, pregnancy. The second was that she had never met this one before.. The scent of Bass clung to her as much as the milk smell, did, and she was able to deduce that it was Bass' mate... Wren? She turned to look at the women, who had settled silently beside her. It was then her eyes widened; she had seen this woman, once, when Bass first returned. She had tackled one of her children, practically. She couldn't remember which one. Wren also looked like she was about to pop with babies any second.

The girl frowned, leaning back away from Wren to search the much older woman's form. She really shouldn't be out and about; what if her pups came? They were near the river? Things could go really bad, and besides, this was Starling's mother. "You look like you are about to pop," she murmured, amusement coloring her tone. Concern showed in her eyes, but she kept that to herself; she did not know Wren, she was no healer; it was not her place to tell the mate of the alpha what to do, or even hint at it.

A soft, fluid chuckle left her lips to the young girl's joke, her tail thumping gently at that ground. She might as well pop right now. Her lower half burned and ached, she was weak in the legs, and cramps were so frequent that she has gotten used to the tears of pain that came with them. It was all the same process as her last birth- only...worse? Somehow. Maybe she had six pups instead of five...wouldn't that be something. That is, if she lived through the bloody birth. Wren swallowed at the thought and nuzzled into her own warmed chest. "That'd be nice." She admitted with a playful wink toward the russet girl, a soft smile appearing across her lips.

Yeah, it'd be nice if she could get these demons out of her stomach. Get 'em out, get it over with, love them forever. Be free of the burden she had to carry with them. That'd be great. But unfortunately, patience in birth was needed. Her first span of pregnancy wasn't this bad...she was busy being nervous about delivery and the job she would have to play as a mother to even realize what was happening in time. Now she was just...waiting impatiently. Wren yawned and slid down to her massive belly, trying to get comfortable. "These pups...are certainly a pain. Even when their not born." She breathed quietly.

Lillianna snorted, amusement in her tones. She couldn't really... understand, okay, she didn't at all, but she did find some humor in the situation. And sympathy. She couldn't imagine walking around looking like that. Seemed to make everything look so... difficult. It was something she was not interested in at all. Just... eugh.

She watched quietly as the woman slid down, wincing herself. Oh goodness, nope, she was not going to go through that. She would take a pass on children. A very, very hard pass. And the comment - oh, the sympathy. But... also curiosity. Her head tilted to the side as she considered whether or not to ask. "Motherhood sounds extremely difficult," she finally murmured.

Wren didn't quite expect Lillianna to understand. No wolf would understand unless they've had kids before. She remembered her first pregnancy was with Motif, who was also pregnant and getting super tired of lumbering around like there was a crocodile threatening to bite her if she took the wrong step. Ah, those were the good days. Now she was alone with this crap. Well. She had Bass, but he didn't understand. He was too male. Wren crossed her forelegs across her chest and pressed her chin into her fluffy, warmed chest, absorbing the comfort with a smile as silence swept over the pair. But it didn't last too long, thank goodness. She hated when things go awkward, especially during pregnancy.

Lillianna stated her opinion on pregnancy in general, and Wren laughed aloud, her voice raspy and low. Yeah, pregnancy was a pain in the behind. But in the end, its worth it when you give birth to pups you love and adore for their rest of their precious lives. Just the stress, the process in general...it was icky. But she hoped this didn't change how Lillianna felt about her own pregnancy in the future. That is not what she intended. "Ah, yeah. They are tough to bring into the world, to deal with as womb-fuzzies, and when they are young and reckless. But you have this unconditional love for them forever...and its nice to have that feeling. It really is." Wren glanced up at the russet girl and smiled. "Do you plan on having any?"
