The Pera remained close to Abaven still, just in case Bass called for him. The Fox would make his way towards the thickets to hunt a few birds to bring back. Hunting birds was one of his many favorite things to do, they often posed a challenge when they didn't want to be found and were quick to fly off once discovered. It would be hard for a wolf, but not for him. Orange pelt slunk through the undergrowth, crimson eyes scanning the grasses as he carefully pulled himself along.
He was a stealthy thing, tail carefully leveled put as he moved. He had heard a small scuffling not far from him, and he guessed it was only a few yards ahead. So like a cat stalking a mouse, he was silent and patient. After a few moments, he reached a small break in the thicket and waited. He sat there for what seemed like forever, but only five or so minutes would pass before a plump quail popped through the thicket opposite him, pecking about in the fallen grass. Without hesitation, he jumped up and landed atop the creature who struggled for a moment before narrow muzzle reached down and broke it's neck. Pleased with his first catch of the season, he couldn't wait to see what else he could find here. |
