The beast was asleep, curled into a tight ball behind the falls. Amaterasu was in a strange situation, never before had she expected to be living with such a predator before, and without being threatened to stay by her side. Though wounded, Zanire was large and powerful, her voice was like thunder rolling across the sky. But even with knowing the damage she could inflict on others, the bear chose a simply life on her own, keeping away from others. There was no reason for the young female to go anyway else, she had no family to go to and the group she was taken by had released her… well, freed her and suffered the consequences.
A chill ran down the spine, staring from behind the skull and running all the way down to tail tip. Given a few deliberate shakes the shewolf moved down the weathered stone path, paws swinging over the gaps between rocks until toes met with crisp, green vegetation. The bear needed new grass to rest her paw on, clean and clear of damage. So quickly she moved down the side, nose nearly brushing the ground as she looked for the best spot of grass for her companion. Nostrils flared with the overwhelming scent of their own, mixed with that of the water and earth. It was peaceful.
