Starling hid in the shadows, staring out at the pack land. There was a reason he was here instead of at home. There was a reason he was so absent from Abaven, from the celebration, from the meetings. There was a reason...he just didn't know it. He laid beneath a tree, staring out at the Knolls and wondering if he might see his friend. He didn't want to call, didn't want anyone to know where he was. He was nervous...he was anxious... He didn't like this feeling. He had let everyone down, he had said some mean things. He had failed, he had let everyone down. At least, that was how he felt. Fidgetting, he stared out at the packlands and tried to breathe normally. Aunt Harmony hadn't seemed so pleased...his father either. He sighed then, laying his head on his paws and staring at the grass infront of his nose. He didn't want to go home and he had tried but he hadn't been able to find Cath. He needed a friend, so his paws brought him here. Angelus could distract him...right? He hoped so. He didn't want someone that would try and knock some sense into him, not right now. And angelus...he could distract him, that's for sure. He could feel his skin heating oddly at the thought, but sighed as he closed his eyes. How could he get his friend's attention without bringing too much attention to him? Zigzag over the border? No...that would be very dangerous... "Burn Baby Burn" || "Bruciare Bambino Bruciare" |

Angelus had a slave. He'd bested someone and taken their freedom from them. In doing so he'd finally come to realize just how much power he wielded. He felt amazing and more than a little superior. It made him want to find out what all he was capable of...and what all he could get away with. A figure in the distance froze him in place. He stilled completely, hackles and heart rate rising, to squint at the wolf. For a second he thought - nervously hoped - it was an intruder, but then recognition set in. Starling! Was Abaven here already? They were early! Oh man, they hadn't even hunted yet. Trotting up to his friend with a grin on his face, Angelus called out, "Hey, Starling!" Teasingly, he added, "You're early so I guess that means you get to help us hunt." |
