At last, he could finally take time for himself and take care of the business he'd been meaning to. It pained him that he couldn't see his children since the siege, and now that it was over and he'd healed some, and even after the death match, he could finally rest his weary bones. He was getting on in age, but it wasn't enough to quench the fire that burned inside. He had done it, he had raised a kingdom for it to be torn away so suddenly, and he would not stand down while everyone else lived their sheltered lives. For now, however, he would turn to his family and spend the time that had been much too delayed. He limped towards the den he had decided to make near the banks of the southern river, unafraid of those who sought to tear him up or rip him apart. Despite the hatred everyone had for him, he would not cower away. His children released from Donostrea's care, the scarred sire paused near the edge of the water while Seifer lounged lazily in the sand. He settled himself on the shore, gaze centered on the water as it rushed by. Spring wouldn't take long to get here...and come the new year, it would all begin again.

The child had enjoyed his time in Donostrea, though when he discovered the damage to his family he had been less than thrilled. Both parents had an eye torn beyond use and his brother had his special parts torn away. It was... Hard to grasp the reason as to why it all happened. The child knew his father wasn’t very well liked, but... Ganta just simply didn’t understand the full extent of it all. Perhaps one day he would, but for now he still had some of his childish innocence.

He would find his father and his lynx by the river. He would approach the blood stained man, rubbing his body against his father much like a cat would it’s owner. “Father.” The young man said softly. He’d look up at him with his silvery-white eyes. “How are you feeling?” He wasn’t quite fully grown yet, but soon he would be. He would sit, curling his tail around his toes as he waited for an answer.

I'm here without you...
