I swear by my pretty floral bonnet

Angelus barked to grab Takira's attention and call her to him. Although he was well within earshot of the herd the brute wasn't worried that he would startle them. The bison were used to the presence of wolves and while wary, they tolerated individuals who didn't appear to be hunting. Angel was careful to remain nonchalant - the last thing he wanted to do was accidentally start a stampede - but he made no effort to conceal his presence. With his attention casually fixed on the herd gathered around a bend in the Rio Grande Angelus waited for the arrival of his slave atop a sun-warmed rock. He wasn't quite sure what to make of her yet and he felt like they stood on a precipice; whether they were on the edge of understanding or a fight he had no idea. Perhaps this simple task would shed some light on the subject. |

Takira wasn't as put out as much as she thought she would have been when her 'master' had found her and dragged her away to the bison heard early this day. She would have thought that she would feel much akin to being dragged to a hunt begrudgingly, but frankly she did not feel that way at this moment. She had been... board lately. Even with her hunting for the pack or doing other small things when asked she mainly felt like she was standing still in her life... Even more so then when she was on her own doing nothing but living. But back then if she became to board and antsy she could just leave whatever home she had made for herself and leave, find a different kind of trouble. That was how she ended up meeting up with Enigma again, she had looked for a change and thought a bear would make that happen and boy did it. She reconnected with the white boy and found that she adored him and all his rough edges, she thought him as charming as a snake but even with his ill temper and terrible disposition, he was hers as no one else was. Takira knew Enigma cared for her in his own way as she did him. So with all that she was quite happy when she was pulled away from her small hole in the ground she was more than happy to fallow him to whatever thing he had in mind. She fallowed him at a distance slightly curious on his quest, not that she would even voice her question, truthfully Takira was always the one to wait for her answers to come to her, she was a patient girl and frankly she seemed to learn more that way anyway. So when she heard his bark she moved forward her eyes asking what she would not, why where they watching bison graze? She could see that the heard was a little smaller that what was healthy and that many of the females where pregnant so they may not be panicked over her and his presence but they where a little more on edge. She could see the shifting in the heard, the females where moving to the center and the males on the out skirts. Takira was weary of the animals as she moved slightly behind of Angelus, she knew the tempers that was behind many of these animals, calm one second then going for the kill the next, she learned respect for them like none of the other pray animals she hunts, like any good hunter would. So even thought she kept her body relaxed and her stance calm she was ready for any sudden moves by the bison, knowing that if for a second one of those massive creatures got it in mind that they did not like the watching wolves they would attack. "Yes?" Was all she asked as she calmly took in the heard and thought of why she was here with the prince of the pack that she was stuck in. |
